Bought a thermometer yesterday.

It's a peppa pig thermometer.......the only one's the shop had

On the front of the packet it says 'see inside for instructions'

Took it to customer services who said 'it goes in the mouth or armpit

Open it and the inside instructions state it's a rectal thermometer!

I purchased this as everyone is a bit unwell and I don't have a thermometer. Most of us have been fevery so seemed like a good idea at the time

But everyone in the house is over 16, and a bit adverse to sticking it up there bums

I feel cheated

my vaginga gave a reading of 36.8

This I trust

I think that is my true temp

Shame men can't use it in this way Grin

Stupid thing

So the thermometer ranges you from 34 from one end to 42 from the other?

I think Peppa Pig is just pulling numbers out of her arse.

elQuintoConyo · 09/01/2014 23:44

Love vaginga ^^

Pixel · 10/01/2014 00:13

I had to take my horse's temp last summer. It took me ages to work up the courage to stick the thermometer up his bum because I was afraid he'd kick my head in I would if I was him. Then I had to hang on to it for dear life because I was afraid I'd 'lose' it and have to do a James Herriot impression.
If only I'd bought a Peppa Pig one he'd have been instantly calmed Grin.

RoseRedder · 10/01/2014 00:32

Love vaginga ^^ too much big bang theory el

It's like bazinga but for grown up Grin

37.5 isn't necessarily a fever. My normal temperature is 37.4.

I hope you thoroughly disinfected it between using it in different sites.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 10/01/2014 00:45

Rose I sincerely hope you stuck Peppa in your fanjo BEFORE you stuck it up your arse! Remember the cardinal rule: "ALWAYS front to back"!

MoominsYonisAreScary · 10/01/2014 00:51

Grin mouth, fanjo, bum id say

Frizzbonce · 10/01/2014 00:59

Does Peppa make a nice snorty noise when the thermometer is inserted correctly? Grin

RoseRedder · 10/01/2014 01:03

oh yes pot the pink before the brown

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 10/01/2014 01:05

Grin Grin Grin
Stop making me laugh. I've pulled a muscle in my bump and sniggering is AGONY! Confused Grin

aurynne · 10/01/2014 01:06

You bloody people have made me snort coffee all over my laptop...

I honestly do not know what's worse... having SpongeBob giving you anal sex with that cheesy grin of his, or having the cartoon theme playing once he's finished.

IneedAsockamnesty · 10/01/2014 01:32

Any other product,it would be far more productive to tell you on the packet if it shouldn't go up your arse.

Have you seen THAT garlic thread?

LoveBeingCantThinkOfAName · 10/01/2014 01:49

Anywhere else left to measure op, presume your not going to be taking it back now, unless of course your going explain about the different readings?

Woofers · 10/01/2014 06:32

So when suggested that thermometer was in a spiral I assumed that was a referrance to artificial insemination rather than a pigs curly tail

steff13 · 10/01/2014 06:50

I have a thermometer that doesn't need to touch any part of the body whatsoever! They are the future!

That's what we have, too. Love it!

plummyjam · 10/01/2014 07:36

I hope you're going to leave a detailed review for the ocado website.

londonrach · 10/01/2014 07:47

does peppa make any noise when inserted? A couple of grunts or an oink.

neiljames77 · 10/01/2014 07:58

Mine read 107.3. That kebab I had last night was a bit ropey though.
Also, that's the first time I've ever seen Peppa Pig without a smile on her face.

TiggyOBE · 10/01/2014 09:09

I think that when it's reached the final temperature it should play the Peppa Pig theme tune.

Trapper · 10/01/2014 09:20

Threads like this are the reason we did not make the New Years honours list Grin

Eatriskier · 10/01/2014 10:40

I think this is the best thread I've seen in ages

MissPryde · 10/01/2014 10:50

The important question, Rose, do you feel instantly calmed?

neiljames77 · 10/01/2014 13:45

There's a Peppa Pig advert on this page. Doesn't say anything about a thermometer though.

Ubik1 · 10/01/2014 13:50

I have German friends who are Hmm about our squeamishness about sticking stuff up our arses. Friend demanded suppositories for her child - everyone uses suppositories abroad, the savages.
