Oh bugger I am not going to text her as I thought it was my friend but she is something similar kitty-ish! Blush

birdybear · 07/01/2014 22:01

Have never heard of this! Link with tune, anyone?

presumably it isn't the song ' little pussy' that my mother in law sings with her choir and me and sil can't catch each others eye for giggling

scaevola · 07/01/2014 22:02

I was having a bad day, and DD sang "Soft Mummy" to me Smile

KateMoose · 07/01/2014 22:03

Yes, I too have sung it! DD is quite the Big Bang fan.

FirConesAtXmas · 07/01/2014 22:04

Dd has a nightshirt with the words on

CSIJanner · 07/01/2014 22:04

Got to love a bit of

scaevola · 07/01/2014 22:05
at a press conference. I'll see if I can find one from the show.
HoneyDragon · 07/01/2014 22:05

Dd at only just four made the (I thought) impressive argument that if she doesn't get any sleep she will get sick.

Who am I to argue?

Link here for anyone who thinks we've gone mad

Gruntfuttock · 07/01/2014 22:06

I hadn't heard of it either, until very recently, when I discovered "The Big Bang Theory" and became addicted to it (TBBT not 'Soft Kitty')

StuckOnARollercoaster · 07/01/2014 22:08

I have just sung my DD to sleep with soft kitty, then come on mumsnet and find this thread!
Also have the Tshirt!

ScrambledSmegs · 07/01/2014 22:09

I do. Sang it for DD1 when she was sick and she loved it, now I have to sing it all the time. I'm a sap.

Apparently she's regaled her nursery friends and staff with Soft Kitty - or her interpretation of it - several times. It has many, many verses .

Chesterado · 07/01/2014 22:11

HoneyDragon · 07/01/2014 22:12

I knew it!

Clearly it is a sign of EXCELLENT parenting as so many of us do so

I have to sing a variation of "night night veggies" from MrBlooms nursery.

Might have to see if I can change it to soft kitty - much better!

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 07/01/2014 22:43

Here I am OneTwo Grin

edamsavestheday · 07/01/2014 22:54

wikipedia says it's based on Warm Kitty, Soft Kitty which is still under copyright!

tsk tsk

DipMeInChocolate · 07/01/2014 23:30

I do, only when she's sick though. I have the tshirt too.

NatashaGurdin · 07/01/2014 23:40

There is also Soft penguin for TBBT fans who also like penguins ...

Adeleh · 07/01/2014 23:42

You are not alone. I heard my DH sing it to his 25 year old daughter over the phone.

Superfudge · 08/01/2014 00:13

Well I am now, ha! Can't say I ever have prior to reading the thread title!

sadiekillmouski · 08/01/2014 03:19

I sing it to the kitties...they look at me with disdain.

streakybacon · 08/01/2014 08:51
