She firstly has a cold and has been blowing her nose everywhere, she then stuck her head in my cubicle to have a look I presume as the midwife left the curtain open and has been talking non stop since 4.30 the horrible woman. She is a visitor!!! She woke me up with her disturbing nonsense several times too. This is a high dependency area for really ill ante/postnatal women and I have enough to deal with without her inconsiderate self stressing me out. Stupid woman and her disgusting germs! She has now taken my partners chair! Omfg I'm about to kill her. Even if she would stop talking for five minutes I wouldn't be too pissed off about the chair! Please tell me I'm being unreasonable in my intense hatred for this ridiculous person!

Having an ill baby is no excuse for rudeness.

Wtaf?!
That has to be the most ridiculous statement I have ever read here in all my time on MN.

Gin my lovely,

Wishing you, and the little Gins well Thanks

YADNBU I would have said something to her by now.

I hated the intrusion of the huge rough family that visited the the women in the next bed to me. Especially when they poked their head through and I was breasteeding my newborn - not prudish just special moments I wanted to be kept private.

And..if she ha got a cold she relly shouldnt be in their germ spreading inconsiderate cow. Oh I could come round and rant for you.

Best wishes for you and your child.

YouTheCat · 29/12/2013 11:38

OP didn't come for advice. She came for a well deserved rant.

Some people are so up themselves and their unasked for advice.

Gin, hope everything turns out well and you don't encounter the annoying cow again.

If I had had access to MN when ds was in SCBU I think all I would have done was post ranty threads.

It is the most stressful experience I have ever gone through and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. And I say that as someone who has recently received a diagnosis of a terminal illness. I still feel physically sick when I think about all that ds went through and that was over 9 years ago.

Gin, I found the nursing staff in SCBU to be amazing and supportive. That contrasted hugely with the midwives on the post natal ward who were mostly dreadful. My own midwife visited me the day after ds was born and said she could cross me off her list for home visits as 'ds wouldn't be going home any time soon'.
