My DDs got a furby. I thought it would be shit but I really like it! Xmas Grin

It's like having a little pet but you don't have to walk it or pick up it's shit. They're so cute.

HairyGrotter · 27/12/2013 18:55

I managed to turn May-Boh evil, I prefer it that way, but DD managed to get it back to valley girl with stroking and feeding Hmm

Iwouldifihadthetime · 27/12/2013 21:56

Ours has gone from being really cute, to being a rather annoying and it's voice has changed, after a ride in the boot of the car last night. Today we have given it lots of cuddles, played it music and let it sleep a lot, but it still spits out food that it loved yesterday and has lost the cute voice. Any ideas, I have a rather sad 7 yr old!

ilovepowerhoop · 27/12/2013 21:58

from my earlier post:

dh says you have to hold it upside down, push its tongue down and pull its tail and it changes back

candycoatedwaterdrops · 27/12/2013 22:06

Kee-Koh was dancing on the sofa and fell onto the floor (drunken tart!) and since then, she screeches really fucking loudly. Sad How do I turn her down?

Rosencrantz · 27/12/2013 22:09

I have one from the 90s but these new models sound INCREDIBLE!

NachoAddict · 27/12/2013 22:19

Haha at it being a boy or a girl, I didn't pick up on the gender, just that it has evil mode and nice.

InTheRedCorner · 27/12/2013 22:23

If you pull its tail for 10 seconds it falls asleep.

We played bloody 1d music for it today whilst I stroked behind its ears and it told me it loved me. After telling me I had nice tits yesterday I view love as a vast approvement Grin

Beeyump · 27/12/2013 22:43

This thread has opened up a whole, exciting new world to me - who knew that a furby could do so much?! (Or at least so much farting and being generally rude.) I want one, badly.

Mummytotwox · 27/12/2013 22:44

Son turned his evil today, so I spent a at journey trying to make it nice again. It said "ohh yeah baby stroke me!!,"

RobinSparkles · 27/12/2013 22:45

I pulled its tail and it farted Xmas Shock.

BreadAndJamForFrances · 28/12/2013 00:16

We had an original one given to us by BIL when his daughter outgrew it along with a load of jigsaws etc.....DD was too young to play with it and I thought it was a creepy bastard, talking randomly when no-one had touched it, looking at me, etc., so I bunged it up in the loft in a box with the jigsaws.......roll on a few years, I go to get out the box, and the Furby had vanished!!! I moved stuff about, assumed it had fallen out of the box or something, but no sign of it. When we moved house last year, we totally emptied the loft, and I expected to find it rolled to the back but the Furby never turned up......I have visions of the creepy shit hiding under the insulation and coming out to terrify the new house owners Shock

MidniteScribbler · 28/12/2013 01:13

Found one! I just wish my son would stop pinching it! Mummy wants to play with it!

MinkBernardLundy · 28/12/2013 01:24

breadandjam sorry fir thread non suitor. just spotted your name and had to say love the nn. ate you also a fan of captain najork?

Darmont · 29/12/2013 21:58

My dd's May Doo furby boom keeps going to sleep and won't wake up. Keep resetting ( taking off bottom and pressing little green button for 2 secs) and it is ok for a bit then does the same. Is this normal or should I take it back?

InTheRedCorner · 29/12/2013 22:02

darmont are you using the app and strong batteries?

Ubik1 · 29/12/2013 22:04

I experimented with furby and made it turn evil...DD2 was distraught. I felt a bit bad about it even though evil furby was much more fun. We played it some music and it bopped about a bit and it became nice again, thank God

BrianTheMole · 29/12/2013 22:05

My dd's did this darmont. We were using good batteries. I took it back and they swapped it.

Snatchoo · 29/12/2013 22:05

Are these all Furby Booms? I thought they looked shit like the earlier ones (sadly was too old for those and too old for these!) but as MN likes them thought they would be good for my twins' birthday in a couple of weeks.

But....£55 EACH?!?! Flippin 'eck.

Darmont · 29/12/2013 22:26

Hi In the Red
Yes they are good batteries (so I was told in toy shop, as good as Duracell!). Dd has not been playing with it that much (2 hrs a day maybe?).

LydiaLunches · 29/12/2013 22:28

Ours are all cute at the moment. Am I depriving the girls by not downloading the app then? They are enjoying them at the moment but the translating etc does sound good. We have 3 furbies and 1 iphone though (mine) - will it be a nightmare?

Darmont · 29/12/2013 22:28

Thanks Brian, I bought from amazon 4th Nov hope they exchange!!

BrianTheMole · 29/12/2013 22:30

But....£55 EACH?!?! Flippin 'eck.

I got the argos 2 for 3 deal and sold the third on ebay. So it wasn't too bad. But yes they are bloody expensive. Maybe wait a few months to see if you pick up an ebay bargain that someone is bored with.

BrianTheMole · 29/12/2013 22:34

Yes they will exchange darmont under the sale of goods act. I bought mine at a similar time from argos. Argos have a 30 day return policy and I had gone over that. But I told them I wasn't claiming under their store policy, but through my statutory rights under the sale of goods act (gives you up to 6 months). You won't have a problem, amazon are generally pretty good. Anyway, the law is on your side.
