Don't panic, it will change back.

DS got one for his birthday last year - one of the personalities it has is a bit stroppy teenager, and one of the things it says is inn that mode is "blah blah blah" in a sarky tone.

Poor DS burst into tears because he thought the furby didn't like him! All was not lost as furby changed back. Now he likes the rude one and calls it Viking Furby Grin .

dd got one for Xmas. Best Xmas present ever. She hasn't looked at anything else yet!

chutneypig · 26/12/2013 12:54

We just had the first shift. I am so glad I'd seen this thread first or I'd have kicked it out of the house!

OctopusWrangler · 26/12/2013 13:00

So it's either a teen or a toddler? Well played Furby Co!

Nerfmother · 26/12/2013 13:01

Ours from last christmas are not allowed to wake up. The boys go absolutely hysterical if anyone wakes one up; sobbing, crying etc. they are terrified of them.
I'm not even allowed to give them away in case they come back to seek revenge. Grin

LEMoncehadacatcalledSANTA · 26/12/2013 13:33

Nerfmother - there is definitely a film in there!

Jesus, I'm glad none of my dc showed even the slightest interest in these - they sound demented and terrifying (the toys, not my dc Grin).

Doesn't help that we watched Gremlins a few nights back - too many similarities for my liking...

candycoatedwaterdrops · 26/12/2013 13:41

Mine keeps yelling "too heavy" at me! Shock

sydlexic · 26/12/2013 14:02

My GD asked me if I could babysit her furby overnight, don't think she will start a family young.

VelvetSpoon · 26/12/2013 14:08

Is it wrong that I really want a Furby now? Grin

(DSs are 15 and 12 so a bit too old, sadly!)

hootloop · 26/12/2013 14:12

Not to old velvet I had one from DH yesterday.

funkybuddah · 26/12/2013 14:17

Dds one keeps shitting out puffer fish and submarines! !!

candycoatedwaterdrops · 26/12/2013 14:25

I'm 25 and I have a Furby. Blush I got it from my mum after many weeks of making her feel bad for car booting my 1998 original Furby.

chocolatewine · 26/12/2013 14:26

What age usually have these?

LEMoncehadacatcalledSANTA · 26/12/2013 14:34

My dd is 8

OP posts:
VelvetSpoon · 26/12/2013 14:37

Is 41 too old? Grin

Just told DS1 I wanted a Furby. Received a Lady Bracknell-esque response 'A FURBY??!' And accompanying look of disdain...

tassisssss · 26/12/2013 14:44

Got one fairly last minute for my 7yo as I wasn't convinced the xbox I'd got as a joint kids present was going to thrill her

The furby is a massive hit, I love it! There was a comedy moment during church yesterday (kids take toys) when I was struggling to make it sleep despite googling how to turn a furby boom off before leaving!

RoseRedder · 26/12/2013 14:51

I like hatching the furblings and playing with them!

Can this happen? Are there little furbies inside the big furby and if so how do you make them come our?

tassisssss · 26/12/2013 14:52

You need the app, wee use the iPad. Really fun!

BusyLittleSpider · 26/12/2013 15:03

DD's one ha

BusyLittleSpider · 26/12/2013 15:07

DD's one has changed as well, so glad I found this thread and that they change back as DD was a bit upset!

DS has one too, all it seems to do is snore and fart!

I think they are brilliant although FIL was a little freaked out yesterday after he woke up from a nap on the sofa to find them both chatting away at him!

NinjaBunny · 26/12/2013 17:35

I like it when it does the MASSIVE shits.

They shit??

Xmas Shock Xmas Shock Xmas Shock

Mummytotwox · 26/12/2013 17:55

We have two. They sing and wake each other up. My dd loves hers, and my son made his evil!!

I love them and haven't stopped playing with ds one lol

EthethethethChrisWaddle · 26/12/2013 18:06

They sound fabulous! I want one now.

My DSD had one of the originals, we shut it in the cupboard as it didn't shut up. Might try that with the kids later.

Fairylea · 26/12/2013 18:20

Dd got one for Christmas. She is 10.

So funny!! I had to change its batteries (she got it a few days before Christmas at her nannies so they got through a few batteries!) And as I turned it upside down it kept shouting "ooooo I'm all wonky!" in its cute little voice!

The boom is so good as well because you can download the app for it to a tablet or smartphone and it interacts with it... dds one poops in the virtual toilet and when it's about to fart it squirms about and goes "ooooo here it comes!"

My gran would be horrified :)
