AIBU to tell him he must wear the wig?

Orlando Bloom that is. When he realises what he's been missing and turns up on my doorstep sometime when my DH and kids are convieniently away for a few days?

You see I had a bit of a thing for him, starting with the whole Legolas LotR thing, which has all come back to mind since I saw The Hobbit 2 last week. So I was having a look around the internet (which is a perfectly normal thing to do and not stalkerish At All) and found a YouTube thing of him appearing on Graham Norton which was the first time I've seen him on camera whilst not playing a role. And I realised that actually he looks a bit like an old ex boyfriend from my uni days. (Back off ladies, he is actually a woman now,and that's a whole other story. Suffice it to say there is a very thin line between liking the effeminate ones and the actually female ones).

So now I've spotted that I think it would be a bit off putting, and would like Mr Bloom to pop that long blonde wig non beforehand coming over. I wouldn't make him wear the ears. And I wouldn't turn him away or anything.

AIBU?

And if so, WIBU to insist that when the other Mr Bloom brings his hat and leaves his talking veggies in the garden?

Can we have Sgt Hathaway of Lewis, but dressed as a priest?
Or is that only me?

WitchWay · 22/12/2013 18:10

What about Richard Armitage as Guy of Gisborne - yum Grin

WitchWay · 22/12/2013 18:11

Woof Rowan Atkinson?? Confused
Agree Alan Rickman as the Sherriff

Thisvehicleisreversing · 22/12/2013 18:16

Can we also have Liam McIntyre as Spartacus complete with full costume, sweat and blood?

Binkyridesagain · 22/12/2013 18:18

Liam Mcintyre, I had no idea who he was until now. He is now on my to DO list. Thanks vehicle.

GoldenGytha · 22/12/2013 18:22

Woof

I'll join you in the weirdness, Rowan Atkinson as Elizabethan Blackadder is highly fanciable Xmas Grin

YY To Alan Rickman as the Sherriff too,

Also Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield, and the actor who plays Kili, as Kili.

And I've just remembered Eoin Macken as Sir Gawain in Merlin.

I have a bit of a thing for men with long dark hair in historical/fantasy costume!

Froblawd · 22/12/2013 18:26

That will teach me for skimming and multi-tasking. I read this as Cbeebies Mr Bloom.

MsIngaFewmarbles · 22/12/2013 18:26

Can I please add Ray Stevenson but only as Titus Pulo from Rome?

Youarejustwordsonascreenpeople · 22/12/2013 18:28

Can I add Tom Hiddleston into the mix please Grin

Binkyridesagain · 22/12/2013 18:30

Ewan Mcgregor any way he comes please.

FreudiansSlipper · 22/12/2013 18:31

Practically everyone who has appeared as Dick Turpin on tv, top of the list is Adam Ant (well he was a highwayman in one of his videos)

Zamboni · 22/12/2013 18:32

If we're putting in requests, I'll have a Thor AND Loki. Greedy yes, but saves having to choose.

Iatemyskinnyperson · 22/12/2013 18:39

Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn
Alex Skaarsgard as anything
(Sensing a Nordic theme here)

Alan Rickman as Col Brandon

And for some reason I have long curly red hair

Blush

I'm very flexible when it comes to Rufus Sewell, he can have his choice of Regency breeches a la Middlemarch/Arcadia, or Zen's well-fitting suit. Armour from A Knight's Tale appealing but inconvenient.

Returning to the OP, I think wigs are somewhat impractical for certain scenarios. Can't you just compromise on bleaching his hair blond? I did this to DH in our younger days as a special birthday treat for myself, but suffered the consequences of my shallowness when the dye brought me out in a horrible rash.

FreudiansSlipper · 22/12/2013 19:09

I'm very flexible when it comes to Rufus Sewell

LuciusMalfoyisSmokingHot · 22/12/2013 19:13

Jason Isaac as Lucius Malfoy or Colonel Tavington, i'd break that man over and over again.

MrsVaughnRice · 22/12/2013 19:20

Double entendre intentional rather than Freudian, Freudian.

Woofsaidtheladybird · 22/12/2013 20:03

Phew.
So glad some other people agree with me re Elizabethan Blackadder.
I've been quiet about that one for years....

harriet247 · 22/12/2013 20:06

Aaron Paul as jesse from breaking bad. Myyyy goodness.

fifi669 · 22/12/2013 20:17

Colin Firth as Mr Darcy. Can't believe no one has mentioned him yet! Oh and there was another period piece, Tom Jones I think it was called? Can't remember who played the lead, blonde chap. Oh yes. Def have a period costume fetish here.

Prettykitty111 · 22/12/2013 20:37

As no one has mentioned benedict cumberbatch I guess he's all mine? He can turn up in nothing without a costume in whatever he likes! Also I'd like to add John barrowman in his captain jack suit but I don't think he'll be able to do what I want him for Wink

MrsVaughnRice · 22/12/2013 20:42

Nobody has mentioned BC because they're really not fussed what costume he's in. I personally would draw the line at the Julian Assange hairdo though.

Foxred10 · 22/12/2013 20:49

You are def NBU and I would like to add Henry Cavill togged up as Brandon into the raffle if at all possible...Wink

Prettykitty111 · 22/12/2013 21:24

Omg mrsV yep that hair is not welcome nor the god awful australian accent.

NettleTea · 22/12/2013 22:09

Freudian you are not having Adam Ant, and thats that. I have him in my cellar and have barricaded all doors. NO ONE has Adam Ant except me.......
(I am even prepared to forgoe Johnny Depp AND Orlando Bloom AND Sirius Black to ensure that this is the case)
