It's not jealousy or anything, although I'd like to be his age and have his money. He just always seems like an attention seeking little tit. Saying things like, "I'll have to go on Take Me Out because I can't find a girlfriend" just so all the girlies tell him how lovely he is.

applecrumbleandcream · 21/12/2013 02:24

I like him, he's a good singer, and he doesn't go on about not having a girlfriend as he has been in a relationship for quite a while now.

Elsiequadrille · 21/12/2013 02:29

I've heard the name, and guessing he's a pop singer and product of reality TV, but I couldn't identify him or any of his songs.

Absolutmum · 21/12/2013 07:10

Pub singer.

coraltoes · 21/12/2013 07:24

I he the one who fell out with his twin when he won X factor? Or made it to final o whatever? He was meant to be best man at the wedding but it clashed with the final so he missed it- was that him??

ShirazSavedMySanity · 21/12/2013 07:27

Cannot abide the little twerp.

Radio & TV get turned over if any suggestion of his noise music is on.

Glad I am not alone

AngelinaCongleton · 21/12/2013 07:34

Very Itv2 - funny. Don't like the school mum fodder chat though- I hate women lumped together in a generic idiot style banding- I don't know any school mums who like him. The Simon cowbell fodder media style is just very wearing isn't it.

Wishfulmakeupping · 21/12/2013 07:35

Yes coral which is why I agree with OP read his twin's story yonks ago and made Olly sound awful and his parents. Not sure if they are all made up now.
I can't warm to him

Icelollycraving · 21/12/2013 07:40

Yabu. The only one who I detest (that springs to mind) is that orange controlling fuckwit Peter 'love my kids' Fucking Andre.

Madamecastafiore · 21/12/2013 07:46

YABU

He is a lovely young chap who only a couple of weeks ago attended a memorial service for a little boy who passed away who was a huge fan of his at my DS's school.

All the kids got a signed photo, he went to every class and according to DS was a thoroughly decent chap.

The smiles on those kids faces at the end of the day, a day which could have been pretty harrowing for some of them, was lovely and helped the children remember their school friend in a lovely way.

GirlWithTheDirtyShirt · 21/12/2013 07:51

I don't mind him on Xtra Factor. And I don't mind some if his songs.

BUT

We went to see Robbie in the summer and were a couple of rows from the front. We actually moved away when Olly came on as his thrusting, winking, sleazy routines were just too much to take! And we are very used to similar from Robbie. Horrid.

SpottyDottie · 21/12/2013 08:04

For me, its not his hat its his bloody trousers. They don't fit properly.

cantheyseeme · 21/12/2013 09:59

His image is too NICE! I suspect hes not all that though. He was on Jonathon Woss a while ago alongside a comedian(cant remember who) and when they were cutting to.shots of the green room he looked mardy as his arse.

Joysmum · 21/12/2013 10:04

PMSL at the ITV comments. I've always been dismissive of ITV and I'm so happy to be in the company of others of my own kind!

.....although I feel like I've let you down as I quite like him. Attention seeking? Yes! But he seems like a nice happy go lucky bloke who won't put others down.

RobinSparkles · 21/12/2013 10:11

I always think that he seems lovely.

HairyGrotter · 21/12/2013 10:13

He's a cunt I'd like to punt right between the legs.

He can take his cunty mate, Williams back to music hell too. Fucking cretins, the both of them

Sparklingbrook · 21/12/2013 10:18

Olly Murs doesn't bother me at all. I'm with Scarlet*.

Oldandcobwebby · 21/12/2013 10:23

Enough of the Norman Wisdom comparisons! Norman was a gentleman. Gentlemen don't discuss the size of their genitalia.

Damnautocorrect · 21/12/2013 10:24

It does amaze me how people can feel such hatred for someone they've never met!

neiljames77 · 21/12/2013 11:33

Ok, Damnautocorrect, I used hate as a figure of speech I suppose and maybe he has done some nice things for people.
I've just seen him in on too many programmes where a woman gets him as a surprise guest and he talks about visiting her home town and taking her out when he has no intention of doing that. Maybe he got no attention as a kid and now he's lapping up every bit of fawning and screaming he can get.

P.S. Agree with the comments about robbie williams and peter andre too.
Stick dermot o'leary on the list aswell please.

ElfontheShelfIsWATCHINGYOUTOO · 21/12/2013 11:36

cant stand him either, so sad , there are so many truelly talented people slogging away at drama schools, and we have this rubbish on the tv

ElfontheShelfIsWATCHINGYOUTOO · 21/12/2013 11:38

NO shcool mums at our school would like him

TheBrotherHoodOfSteel · 21/12/2013 21:38

YABU!! I love him, he's such a nice guy and not bad on the eyes either Wink

lestagal78 · 21/12/2013 22:48

YABU, he comes across as a decent chap.

I prefer my DD's to listen to his brand of pop than Rihanna. Along with 1D they sing harmless songs that I like singing along to.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/12/2013 00:37

At the moment, Olly Murs is in the running to be my Son-in-Law (DD was devastated to find out that Dynamo had got married).

So - unless she changes her mind, which at 11.6 yo is highly likely- I'll be able to tell you first hand if he is a prat IRL.

(Obviously in a few years time, not marrying her off yet Xmas Wink )

AutumnFire · 22/12/2013 01:29

I love Olly! Nice clean music, and a jolly persona.

He's also a great performer:
