For any Pleasantville fans he's the fella that Reece Witherspoon deflowers at Lovers Lane. Never seen any F&F films but remembered him from that.

He's not a minor star, his movies grossed millions, the F&TF series anyway. I think that he just did quite specific movies and if you weren't into the kind of thing then you wouldn't have been aware of him.

They crashed because they were speeding and messing about on the road, better them than an innocent person/group of people who could have been killed due to their dangerous behaviour. At forty, a man should know better, even a pretty one.

Me too Grand Old Duke

Didn't really 'know' Paul Walker (seen Pleasantville, but not F&F) but he does seem to have been a genuine talented and good guy. A very sad loss

Incredibly sad news. He inspired a generation.

I think that his friend was indeed a very talented driver, indeed I believe they met doing car racing. Its rumoured that there were doughnut marks just up the road from the crash site, if true that in itself surely displays skill.

I can't believe that the DM have released video footage of the bodies being removed from the car, beyond disrespectful!

Paul Walker was a very talented man, didn't he do all of his own driving in Fast and Furious? I think he was very big into street racing too.

I feel terrible for doing a tiny chuckle, just a teeny one, at the 'Stephen Gately died 4 tears ago' revelation.

OP YANBU, it's weird when someone you obsessed over as a hormonal teen dies. I was obsessed with the aforementioned Corey Haim and had a tear in my eye when he died, mostly because the last few years of his life were so very grim.

Didn't know who Paul Walker was,so googled. OMG, so young and what a terrible way to go.
So full of life. Scary how one minute you're here, and the next, BAM you're gone. Sad
So utterly GORGEOUS too, can't believe I'd never seen him before!
My thoughts are with his family who he's tragically left behind.
Also to the driver of the car who wasn't famous but will be just as tragically missed by loved ones. Sad

YANBU I was so Shock Shock this morning when I saw the news. I am so so gutted. Poor family. He seemed like such a nice bloke, and was so handsome too....

I loved River Phoenix too, and poor Corey Monteith. Sad

But Paul walker was especially lovely and cool. Sad

Eight Below has been a staple film for the DCs for a few years now. I won't tell DD that the "Doggies' Dad" is no more.
Very sad.

Really?! Love that film. Didn't realise that was him, although not seen it for years!

Corey Haim is dead?!! Really?!!! I didn't know that!

I didn't know who Paul Walker was either, although Pleasantville is one of my favourite films.

I feel quite sad for the 4 people who died on a train in the Bronx today, but that's because it's close to home. I am not really any more bothered about Paul Walker dying than I am about the 100 000 other people that died that day. At least he died doing something he loved which, whatever way you look at it, is a good thing. Dying doing something you love or just falling asleep in front of the fire and never waking up, they're the kind of deaths millions of people can only dream of.

Not that I mean a 40 year old dying in a car crash is a good thing by the way! I know what I mean, anyway!!
