Somebody judging you is not being judgy. They are not a judgy-pants. An actual real word exists for what you're trying to say, and it doesn't take much longer to type. JUDGEMENTAL, people. As in "I am judgemental towards people who use cringe-inducing phraseology."

lol, YABU OP but I do understand your pain. I cannot stand the word 'naice', makes me want to headbutt.

eofa1 · 25/11/2013 19:30

I know I am, but I can't help it :).

Well, if we're replacing 'made up' with 'bloody irritating' I could write you a book!

Mia4 · 25/11/2013 19:38

:) As I said, I'm the same with 'naice', grinds my gears something rotten.

LovelyMarchHare · 25/11/2013 19:51

'I luffs him' is really terrible and I also have a problem with 'hubby'. The new children's laureate was on Desert Island Disc last week and said it about ten times. Very depressing.

CoolItKittens · 25/11/2013 22:25

I was reading an interview with Matt Smith earlier and they had him quoted as saying "L-O-L" which should never be said out loud!

Kasterborous · 25/11/2013 22:29

Someone I know instead of 'saying' 'good' always 'says' 'gud'. It makes me Angry

ManifestoMT · 25/11/2013 22:40

Nibbles and sipsies

Ahhh I proper luffs that phrase

rpitchfo · 25/11/2013 22:51

YABU - there is no fixed language...it is an iterative process and the human lexicon can only be made up of the words people use.

Quangle · 26/11/2013 11:34

LovelyMarchHare I heard that too and it made me feel a bit funny Grin Obviously she's not on MN or she would know. But also she's obviously a smart, driven woman with a facility for words - so why use that awful, suburban, domesticated word

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 27/11/2013 15:51

OP

chillax

eofa1 · 27/11/2013 15:56

Haha. Actually don't mind that one too much, so will try!
