I must have seen it eleventy million time but I fucking LOVE it.

And I wouldn't kick young Kiefer out of bed either I'd probably tie him to it so he couldn't leave

I also love Jareth the Goblin King Labyrinth and Princess Bride.

All three films are highly quotable.

I bloody well knew I forgot to do something as a young woman. I was supposed to be Jami Gertz Angry

tolittletoolate · 23/11/2013 21:17

my favourite film ever, have watched it millions of times too, I drive everyone mad quoting lines from it and saying them while watching it Grin

what are you then, the flying nun?

ShylaMcCall · 23/11/2013 21:20

My GBF always used to snort at the merry go round scene when all the fit lads are seen getting off and then there is Alex Winter Grin

chickensaresafehere · 23/11/2013 21:21

26 years,oh dear!!Is it really that long ago?!?!Absolutely love it,have the soundtrack on my iPhone, always takes me back to my youth Grin

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 23/11/2013 21:24

YY to both Lost Boys and Labyrinth! Love the LB soundtrack, used to have it blaring out of my Austin Metro Manta GTE when I was a kid! Carved a Jareth pumpkin this Halloween actually ... then had to go and watch the film (and also have that soundtrack too - saddo!)

CrabbySmallerBottom · 23/11/2013 21:24

Star... so fucking annoying I just wanted to slap her.

Jason angsty-boy... as above.

Kiefer... just too sexy for words.

Billy Worth... [regresses to teenage years and...] FAINTS!

CrabbySmallerBottom · 23/11/2013 21:26

Oh and is it just me that thinks that the grandfather is a vampire? Seems to be only hinted at in the film, but surely all those stuffed animals and his final line is the clue?

CatOfTheDay · 23/11/2013 21:30

Ooo is Billy Worth the really sexy vampire with the dark hair? He'll always have a special place in my heart.......

My friend fancied Alex Winter Grin

rainbowdaydreams · 23/11/2013 21:30

While we're talking about Corey Feldman films of the 1980s, who remembers this:

"suck my fat one, you cheap dime-store hood"

Loved that film more than the Lost Boys, sorry to say.

Don't get me started on the Breakfast Club!

Tallaween · 23/11/2013 21:31

I always figured the Grandfather was like, the original Buffy.

It was the fence posts that gave it away, only a slayer needs that much pointy wood.

Tallaween · 23/11/2013 21:32

Is that Stand by Me?

I have that on DVD too Grin

I liked the little kid, Laddie, in his Adam Ant outfit.

Always wondered about the grandpa as well.

southeastastra · 23/11/2013 21:33

i only watch it for michael

the film is pretty rubbish

clarinsgirl · 23/11/2013 21:35

YANBU. 26 years ago though, that is unreasonable...

ebwy · 23/11/2013 21:36

Yanbu. At all.

sparkle101 · 23/11/2013 21:37

People are strange, when you're a stranger.......

Keifer. I would.

Tallaween · 23/11/2013 21:39

Actually, given its vintage I am surprised they haven't remade it with almost exactly the same script and a hip young cast including Robert Twatting Pattinson as David.

you may hunt me down and shoot me if this comes to pass

OP posts:
tolittletoolate · 23/11/2013 21:43

even watching 24 I wanted Keifer to turn into a vampire!

Enidcoleslaw · 23/11/2013 21:48

The grandpa has his special shelf in the fridge for his 'root beer' too.
Love the lost boys.

Heartbrokenmum73 · 23/11/2013 22:01

Michael wants to know!

Thought I was the only one who still loved this film. So looking forward to DD getting that little bit older (two more years til she's 14) and brainwashing introducing her to Brat Pack films.

Lost Boys, Stand By Me, Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, St Elmo's Fire, Some Kind of Wonderful (John Hughes' best film ever) and my ultimate favourite - The Outsiders.

I have The Lost Boys recorded at the moment to watch at my leisure, but realise I need to replace my much-loved video with a DVD!

CelinaGrace · 23/11/2013 22:08

God, I loved this film. I ached to be a vampire, I tell you. ACHED. I wanted to wear long skirts with sparkly bits and live in a cave and have sex with Jason Patrick. This film was responsible for turning me into a Goth.
Twenty six years…. sob….

CelinaGrace · 23/11/2013 22:09

Oh, and yes to Billy 'Wirth a shag'

GetOrfOhSodOff · 23/11/2013 22:10

I only watched it about 18 months ago (started a thread at the time) and I LOVE it. The quote in the OP 'wait til mom finds out' is marvellous. It's a brilliant film, so 80s in a good way.
