Ah yeah that's totally right. I get adverts for things I've bought online or looked at. Who else uses the computer op?

I've got one for holidays, but I never look similar stuff up.
But the fit women one does not sound good.

The ad at the top of my page - on laptop doesn't seem to be linked to my browsing history. It's currently a swedish childrens clothes site offering a MN discount.

The ads at the sid are more linked - currently have a Jack Wills ad which would link to me looking at Christmas present ideas for DD for example.

It's my phone, it's password protected and no one else has access to it.

Wondering if I've inadvertently clicked on something dodgy on a newspaper site or on Facebook while opening or closing pages or scrolling.

The phone has antivirus protection installed as well.

At least no one else is going to be under suspicion - reminds us all that not everything is always what it seems.

Use the app-no ads at all then!

Definitely the adds are linked to your viewing history unless you go to adsense and opt out but even then you have to re do it if you have high security settings.

My adverts on Mumsnet are never advertising websites I have visited
I'm pretty sure those are different types of adverts
The advert at the top of my page now says 'whatever stage you're at Mumsnetters can earn 6% average money-back' so they are often tailored to mumsnet

My PC is as old as the hills so I have to keep running Crap Cleaner every hour...this deletes all history and temporary files.

If all ads were linked, I wouldn't have any at all after I ran it.

And now I've got 'Swedish Children's wear' Lol

On the PC I now have Chicco baby products (I don't have a baby). A few minutes ago I had TransPennine Express (I travel with them regularly and buy my tickets online).

I've got EasyJet, Chester Zoo and the Swedish children's wear now. At least the strange woman hasn't reappeared.

Just had luxury linens like Golddigger but am now on Easyjet. Had "sensibly priced children's furniture" too!
