I understand the cosy appeal but the uncosy prospect of stripping naked to the knees to have a wee completely ruins the concept for me.

You dont need to do that with a Kigurumi, unbutton the bottom and take your legs out Wink

I feel the same as Inglorious too.

thegreylady · 15/11/2013 22:26

Thanks Todays...I am going by Matalan tomorrow and will look. I hope they have big sizes. I don't want feet though. I like cool feet!

fifi669 · 15/11/2013 22:29

I'm currently in my cheapy cat primarmani onesie. It's so warm and cosy :)

beanandspud · 15/11/2013 22:36

DS(5) has a couple and is cute as a button in them. Just can't see DH or me getting one anytime soon.

Vikki88 · 15/11/2013 22:41

I have 3 onesies and I love them all - especially my giraffe one! Don't knock them till you've tried them. Wink

NoComet · 15/11/2013 22:44

Not for publicly consumption, but cosy for sitting typing this.

Strictly speaking it was a joke birthday present for DH as it says GEEK in big letters. DH is a total geek (or nerd in modern slang as he is a total technology sponge)

However, it's me who tends to be cols

NoComet · 15/11/2013 22:45

Cold

Nessalina · 15/11/2013 22:46

My DH just bought himself one yesterday to wear for Children in Need. He LOVES it and I'm scared he'll never take it off!!

lottieandmia · 15/11/2013 22:49

YANBU - I bought one and it is a PITA - no way am I buying any more I will stick to pyjamas from now on.

bumperella · 15/11/2013 22:51

They're grim.
I don't get why they're better than fleecy pyjamas. I used to live in Japan and Kigu's were seen by my Japanese mates in the same way as onesies are now, ie OK for pyjamas if you really must, but why would you?
I have a warm dressing gown and have been known to wear a bobbly hat of an evening.

Goldmandra · 15/11/2013 22:59

My DD1 wore one of these to school today.

She looked even better in it with her 16 YO's figure than the model in the picture because the colours in it looked stunning with her long curly red hair. As I admired how fantastic she looked, I realised that I can never, ever wear one because I would just look like a teletubby Blush

thegreylady · 15/11/2013 23:08

Did you all see Richard Osman in a tiger onesie on Pointless tonight?

Lemongrab · 15/11/2013 23:42

My 13 year old DD has one, but only wears it in the evenings, at home. I asked her if she'd wear it out in public and she said absolutely not (thank god). I saw some teenagers wearing them outside, in broad daylight, complete with horrible cheap looking ugg type boots, and it wasn't even Halloween. They looked ridiculous.
So yanbu, they should mostly be for babies, or as a substitute for pyjamas.

I misread the title as

AIBU to think that onesies are for boys

Hmm not girls? Confused

But then it's easier for boys to pee in a onesie so not unreasonable at all.
Then I read it properly.

They are fine for babies.
Fine for children
Fine for teens
Fine for adults
Not fine for walking round Lakeside
Or for going on a very short (2 hour) flight on summer holiday (yes you girls at the airport, you looked bloody stupid)

ArgyMargy · 15/11/2013 23:51

Not being able to spell "babies", or "they're", is for babies.
