AIBU to consider putting the decorations up this weekend?

In my defence:

It is my last weekend off until the 21st of December

We had a pretty shit Christmas last year. (Dd was 18mo and we were technically homeless for the 8 days preceding Christmas eve)

We had no decorations up at all last year.

I am stupidly excited that dd is finally aware of what Christmas is, so want to spend all of my spare time in December taking her to Carol concerts, garden centres, craft events and similar.

Go on then... do your worst! Grin

Tbh, if you put up a tree now all the needles will have fallen off by Christmas.

Needles? With a toddler, 2 cats and a labrador? Are you on glue! Grin

Fuck that, my tree will be a nice synthetic bushy job! Grin

we always had trees with needles with multiple small kids, cats, etc.

The needles werent the problem. I was always Shock at people who managed to keep a nice pile of presents under the tree for weeks. My kids would have been right in there...

I am warming to the foodie run up to Xmas theme. Chutney. Delia Smith's Apricot and Ginger Chutney. If you're feeling all christmassy, can you make me some please?

I love putting the Christmas Tree up and am on countdown!! I always manage to restrain myself until at least the last week in November though Grin I actually saw a house with a Christmas Tree in the window 2 weeks ago!!! I thought that was a bit extreme!!

But, I don't know their circumstances and there may be a sad reason why they are celebrating early... Hmm Sad

Your house; your rules! Put them up if you like and have an amazing Christmas
