I am 13 and a half stone and want to know how far off my next target, of being a size 16, I am.

If you can bear to share, t (heaps!) ia!!!

OP posts:
FourArms · 06/11/2013 23:25

I am 5ft 4.5 (maybe a bit more?) and weigh 13s 12.5lb (doing SW so know the figures well!). I'm just squishing into unforgiving sz 16s now. Fine in stretchier fabrics.

My lightest was 10.5 stone and I was a 10/12.

Highly recommend Sports Direct scales. £5 and extremely accurate!

stillenacht · 06/11/2013 23:27

I am 5'6" and around 16 stone. Size 18.

Littlebigcat · 06/11/2013 23:30

I am 5 ft 6 and about the same weight as you. I an usually a 16 in dresses and an 18 in jeans or skirts. I have a massive chest (H cup) but my shoulders are quite narrow. Occasionally a 14 dress or top which isn't overly tight can work for me and oddly make me look slightly slimmer as long as it skims over my hips and tummy in the right way. The last time I was a reliable 14 everywhere was when I was about 11 stone 12 I think. I've been going kickboxing for 3 months now, noticing shape changes but nothing changing on the scales.

LongTailedTit · 06/11/2013 23:30

For extra intrigue we could add our bra sizes, that'd really confuse it! Even as a size 14, I'm currently in a 30FF. Could wear 32E too.
I'm wide of nork, so don't look any bigger than a C cup, but the MN bra interventionists were spot on!

MissSingerbrains · 06/11/2013 23:32

I'm 5'7'' or just under :)

11st 2lb and currently a 10/12. Though just got some trousers in an 8 but am willing to accept this is due to vanity sizing...

It's amazing how much size variation there is for the same height and weight - this thread had blown my mind!

KingJoffrey · 06/11/2013 23:32

I'm 8 stone 12 (size 8/10)

At my heaviest (11 stone 7) I was a size 12/14

SugarHut · 06/11/2013 23:32

OP you can't go on weight. I'm about the same height as most of my friends (inch or so shorter than you) I weigh the most, and take the smallest clothes size. I'm more muscley (or made of dark matter) than they are...it weighs more than fat. You could exercise a lot for the next month, lose barely any weight as you replace fat cells with heavier muscle cells, and yet go down a dress size.

cheerfulweatherforthewedding · 06/11/2013 23:32

Between 8 stone 6 and 8 stone 9. Never weighed 9 or more.

cheerfulweatherforthewedding · 06/11/2013 23:33

Size 8/10

Dominodonkey · 06/11/2013 23:33

I am just under 5ft 7, weigh 13 st ish and wear a size 16. But I was also a size 16 at 12 stone 4. I have to be 11 st 10 ish to be in a 14 and 10st 7 or less before I am a 12. Good luck with your quest- I am sure you will do it.

KingJoffrey · 06/11/2013 23:34

I am 5 foot 6 also

cheerfulweatherforthewedding · 06/11/2013 23:34

I'm actually more 5'7 in height.

Writerwannabe83 · 06/11/2013 23:38

Prior to pregnancy I was 8st 9lbs.

Currently 20 weeks pregnant and I haven't dared weigh myself Grin

Nessalina · 06/11/2013 23:39

This is very topical for me, weighed myself for first time in ages today! I'm 5ft 5in and weigh 12st 5lb. I'm a size 14/16 on top, 16 bottoms.
I'd like to get back into my size 12/14s again, so aiming to get back to 11st. Reckon it'll be an uphill struggle though!

MedusaIsHavingaBadHairday · 06/11/2013 23:46

5 ft 7 and 9 stone 9 usually. In a 10 or 12 depending on the shop!
I'd like to be 9 stone again.. !

DorisHerod · 06/11/2013 23:46

5 foot 7 inches. 11st 3lbs and wear 12/14 depending on style.

Used to be 13st plus and a size 16.

Have also been 8st and a size 10 but not for about 20 years!

Go running regularly but not muscly. Flabby baby stomach and big hips and norks. Small waist and thinnish legs so dress to emphasise the better bits!

Sadly bingo wings are becoming a feature despite trying to do some weights every day.

ViviPru · 06/11/2013 23:59

Hello. I'm 5'6". When I got engaged in March 2012 I was 12st 7 and sz14 was getting tight. On my wedding day 14 months later, I was 9st 7 and a sz 8-10. Today I am 10st 3 ish and sz 10-12. I'm aiming to get back under 10 st and stay there.

60sname · 07/11/2013 00:03

Exactly that height, am about 8st 12. Size 10-12 (wide hips, flat chest)

cherry219 · 07/11/2013 00:11

At 5'7", I've just come all the way down from 15st7lb (I did have a baby though, which helped!), and am 11st4lb now and have just swapped from size 16 to 14 at long last. I think I went down to a 16 when I got below 13st, although they were pretty tight (this is on bottoms only, I'm bfeeding so tops fluctuate wildly!). My aim is 10st, I was a 10/12 at that weight before my first baby was born, there's a lot more saggy bits to shove into the waistbands now though!

YukonHo · 07/11/2013 00:16

I reckon it's all about bone density and muscle tone. Am 10st 10 at the mo barely ever exercise and am a size 12 . I was 10st 4 and much fitter in summer and a 10/12. Really would like to get back down to about 9st 9 and a comfortable size 10. Have just cut out carbs for a body cleanse and to try and stop eating so much crap and am training for a half marathon next year so who knows!

Absolutelylost · 07/11/2013 00:26

I'm 5"6' and recently lost around 4 stone. Am now 12.12 and 16 top and 14-16 bottoms. Actually I'm not sure I want to go much less, I'm quite a sturdy woman with large hands and size 9 feet. My double chin has disappeared but I only lost one cup size! Now I need a tummy tuck - 4 children over 15 years and 3 of them by section!

JulietBravoJuliet · 07/11/2013 01:34

I'm 13st 12lb and a size 14-16. I've always been heavy for my size though!

ToysRLuv · 07/11/2013 01:38

Approx 11.9 stone. I am a size 16.

ToysRLuv · 07/11/2013 01:40

And am just under 5" 7'

SuiGeneris · 07/11/2013 01:45

54 kgs, so probably around 8 and a half stone? Usually size 8, sometimes 10. A bit top-heavy due to breastfeeding at the moment.

Used to be 52 kg pre-pregnancy one and 49 kgs before getting married.
