AIBU to be a bit sad about it? BHS usually excel in it, I noticed today Asda had an aisle of it.

It's all so, well, crap.

I wouldn't buy any of it for anyone-it looks like you went down the random Christmas tat aisle and bought the first thing you saw. Who buys it?

I'm allergic to most bath sets. So far the only thing I can use is Wilkos £1 tropical coconut shower gel.

I have bath sets from last year with I've used once only to find I cant use them. Nivea, Dove, Soap & Glory and Lush

It's about the size of a side plate, not sure what the reason for the stick is. It's too flimsy to be much use for anything, no back scrubbing or leg exfoliating. No other lolly inspired tat.

Presents like this give me the rage.

MIL always resorts to crap after a really good start in her effort to spend exactly the same amount of money on all of us. She buys the same things that she knows we appreciate every year, for me it's socks, knickers, a diary and a larger gift that is already planned. Then she kind of descends into Christmas Rage and hits the Wilkinsons soap isle and we all get bath pearls..
It's why I'm doing hampers for everyone this year, so I don't get caught up in the bath set thing!

The thing is if everyone loved the tat that much it would be sold all year round so we could enjoy it.

thank fuck for amazon wish list and the little gizmo to add to your toolbar that lets you add anything to it from any site. I have added all my everyday favourite toiletries so that Ds's and DH will not be tempted by any cheap shit in poundland or wherever I look forward to a happy xmas.
On the marmite bit... I used to have jars (empty) from huge size down to the teeny one on my bathroom window when I was a student and had make up brushes in the bigger two and nail files clippers in the teeny one. gave no end of amusement to my friends who still remember to this day I thought it looked fun.

DS2 wants that Marmite mug from BHS.

I've upset MIL, don't know how but I have, but that means so more tat for me! We never see her at Christmas, so she gave us the pressies before hand. I used to snip the Sellotape and peek when everyone was out, so I could get over the shock and not be a bitch infront of DH!

My ex's Mum used to buy me stuff like this.
