I am struggling to think of a counter-example from my personal experience.

Yes harticus! Gallagher bros. Appleton sisters. Even Bros bros Goss (err.. which one is older again...? ) .

The younger one has the sparkle.

I can think of loads of instances where what you've said is true OP.
Equally, I can think of just as many where it isn't.

What he has is innate self confidence. And smore indulgent parents because there is an age gap. When I was his age they were almost a decade younger.

With my children, although they are obviously all gorgeous, I think the oldest would be judged to be better looking than the second.

I'm taller and have 'bigger bones' than my sister, can't really comment on attractiveness as I think we're quite equal (hopeful).

I am posting off the back of a family dinner when the 2 year old spent the entire 45 minute meal laughing uncontrollably at her siblings' jokes. I would say that 'fun' is probably the discriminating factor that works for the younger siblings.

It's nothing like the solemn Annabel Karmel inspired spinacchy occasions that were DD1's mealtimes.

My sister is definitely better looking than me, with lovely olive skin and amazing boobs. I'm the older sibling, a bit plain but infinitely nicer and kinder and more intelligent. She can be quite a cow tbh and not many people have nice things to say about her!

You're wrong. I'm clearly more attractive than my younger brothers and dh (also eldest) is gorgeous.

I think there is a evolutionary biology theory that first children look more like the father than subsequent ones, to make sure the father sticks around to take care of the brood, i.e. doesn't have doubts about who the father is. No idea how the selection of genes/sperm would happen, though. Will try and find the research.

I did a course on evolutionary psych as a part of my psych degree at uni, so it's not all bullshit . Very, very interesting. But obviously not every hypothesis will be true (apparently one research supported the aforementioned one, but subsequent research doesn't)..

Me and my sister always used to (and still do occasionally) moan at our mum for giving certain things to the other sister.

I'm in the middle and think I'm on a par looks wise with my younger brother. Both average.

However my younger brother is definitely the smartest.

My eldest DS has it all on paper. Blond, blue sparkly eyes, flawless easy to tan skin, straight nose and natural muscle definition. However I think DS2 is better looking because he smiles more.
