Seriously,

free next day delivery (order up to 8pm or something)
texted time slots on the morning of the delivery
emailing you the name of the delivery driver!
options by text eg deliver to neighbour
100% reliable

AIBU to ask If they can do it why can't any other companies?

I've got the free Amazon Prime offer at the moment and more often than not (when stuff is actually eligible) it turns up about 8pm just as I'm doing bedtime, having waited in all day.

I don't work for them btw!

I agree, they're amazing. One time for me they missed their hour delivery slot, but it was still delivered that day so it's not like I wasted a day for nothing.

I just don't get why other companies can't manage it as well. Even having a courier give you an indication of 'morning' or 'afternoon' would help!

Footface · 16/10/2013 10:00

Kiddicare have an amazing service, and there prices are competitive

sparkle101 · 16/10/2013 10:06

I love kiddicare so much! I think they're amazing. If they had more stores I think mothercare would be seriously in trouble.

I ordered from kiddicare, Amazon, mothercare and e bay on a Friday night. Kiddicare dispatched sat delivered Monday in dedicated time slot (loved watching the tracking!), Amazon on the Tuesday, e bay on the Wednesday and mothercare the following Saturday.

Piss poor from them for one sleeping bag and a packet of babygros. I ordered a trainer seat, toys for my ds, toys for my dd and nappies from kiddicare and they can deliver two days later free of charge (mothercare 3.95).

Mothercare could learn a lot.

SHarri13 · 16/10/2013 10:06

I'm with you. I ordered a car seat from them at 7.55pm and it arrived at 9.30am the next morning. The courier tracking is brilliant. I was amazed at how good it all was.

Unfortunately the car seat didn't fit but that was britax's issue not kiddiecare.

WhenYouSeeaCrocodile · 16/10/2013 10:16

I bought a Pram from Kiddiecare in September.

I had the hour delivery slot, It was reasonable priced, I ordered on a Sunday and it was delivered Monday morning (Mothercare couldn't even get the delivery out by the next Monday even though they had stock, I live in a very easy accessible location, the pram was costing much more in Mothercare)

Unortunately the pram from Kiddicare broke after the first use. I phoned up the arranged a collection and redelivery at the same time 2 days later (1 day giving to box old pram up) I had a hour slot.

Once again after a few uses the replacement broke. Kiddicare got it collected and the refunded in full and kept me up to date of the problem all the way.

Overall it took 28days and I had 2 prams that broke and full refund in that time.

I had a bad experience with the pram but the service I received I will use Kiddicare again if needed and now look at Kiddicare before I look at Mothercare.

I agree kiddicare is fantastic.

I believe it's owned by Morrison's. If they did online grocery shopping as well as they do baby stuff they'd be amazing.

SaucyJack · 16/10/2013 11:10

YABU.

I've only ordered one thing from them and I thought their service was awful. Once it was (finally) in the hands of Interlink tho, it was fab.

freddiefrog · 16/10/2013 11:11

Really?

They cocked up everything I ever ordered and customer service was bloody awful

I haven't used them in years so they must have improved a lot

jellybeans · 16/10/2013 11:29

I agree. They are fabulous.

treaclesoda · 16/10/2013 11:35

I've hated Kiddicare with a passion ever since they tried to charge me £40 delivery surcharge for delivering a small item to N Ireland. They dont do that any more, its down to £8 now, but I've never forgiven them as it was so totally unjustified in the first place.

HelloLA · 16/10/2013 11:37

Kiddicare are so good they'll ruin all other online ordering for you. I used to think John Lewis delivery was decent, but they don't offer the 1-hour slots or proper tracking.

It's just a shame Kiddicare don't have a wider range of products, especially babywear.

NotYoMomma · 16/10/2013 11:40

oh oh oh! and I had a problem with a feeding chair and it was sorted and New chair and spare cushion in 2 days!

love them!

MoaningMingeWhingesAgain · 16/10/2013 11:43

I bought from Kiddicare all the time when mine were babies - they were fab.
Slight tangent but Co-op electricals work in much the same way - ordered a washing machine for a day I chose, was texted a one hour delivery slot, all perfect.

Anyone else feel like Amazon now deliberately delay supersaver deliveries? I have been waiting several days for things to be despatched then god knows how long they take to arrive.

StephenKatz · 16/10/2013 11:46

I had great service from Kiddicare - love them!

WeAreSix · 16/10/2013 11:47

Another good experience here too.

AND they price matched in store to a reduced Amazon price with free next day delivery.

I haven't found anyone better yet.

VinegarDrinker · 16/10/2013 12:09

It's quite compulsive watching where my delivery driver is on the live map [embarrassed]

Obviously it's Interlink who are great, too, but Kiddicare choose to use them, unlike various other online shops with much crapper delivery.

I made a huge order yesterday and was thinking the exact same thing.

KirjavaTheCorpse · 16/10/2013 12:12

Only downside is I can't use my Morrisons' discount code online anymore, in-store only apparently :(

Sirzy · 16/10/2013 12:16

I love kiddicare.

They have a store opened locally last year, the mothercare next door appears to be really struggling now and it's hardly surprising kiddicare is much nicer and better prices.

NotYoMomma · 16/10/2013 12:17

if kiddicare ever check mumsnet:

we want one in the north east ok?

badguider · 16/10/2013 12:17

love love love love the texted time slot!!!

DigestivesAndPhiladelphia · 16/10/2013 12:27

I agree. I love ordering items I've run off (like nappies and wipes) and seeing them appear in my porch the next morning... As if by magic! So much easier than loading all the kids in the car & driving to the supermarket. I wish they did baby milk as well though. Actually, normal milk and chocolate would be great as we always run out of that unexpectedly.

DigestivesAndPhiladelphia · 16/10/2013 12:28

*run out of, sorry, autocorrect

peachesandpickles · 16/10/2013 12:41

I've only ordered from them once and was impressed. It was over 5 years ago and I wanted a lie-flat pram for dd2. I found a Silver Cross one in Kiddicare for one third of the price I could get it here in Ireland.

Delivery was expensive but considering the price of the pram it was well worth it.

At the time Mothercare didn't even have on-line shopping available in Ireland.
