to think this probably isn't normal for a C-section

I regularly lurk and sometimes post. I've name changed as I'm considering taking legal action against a hospital and I want this to be as anonymous as possible. I am also aware that this isn't the best place to put this but I need a bit of info fast.

I had an EMCS after a long labour. CS was mooted about two hours before it actually went ahead. During those two hours I repeatedly told the midwife that I could feel the baby going down into the pelvic bones and was ignored. Just before my baby was taken out of me I felt pressure all over my body to the point where I couldn't breathe. DH thinks this was the operating team lying on me. Then there was a huge amount of pulling, so much so that the operating table left the floor and returned with a bang, to a chorus of shocked 'ohs!' from the team. I have been told this is normal for a c-section, is it?

The complaint I made has many strands, medically all the questions have been answered and systems put in place to try to stop these things happening again, which was the main reason I made the complaint.
However, during the course of the investigation other things, not directly related to the clinical outcome, came to light and it is these which are still ongoing and I'm not prepared to discuss them here.
My baby, thanks be to God, appears fine. I was injured and my recovery is still ongoing. Again, this is as much as I want to discuss.
Once again, thank you very much for sharing your stories with me, the information about the c-section was valuable and timely. My heartfelt sympathy to all of you who suffered the loss of your children, I can't imagine what that must feel like. Despite the fact that the whole experience was bad I am extremely grateful my child and I are both still here.
I'm going to stop posting on this thread now and have asked that it is removed before any one else makes the emotional investment of sharing their stories with me when I don't feel able to reply with the same candour.
Thanks again.

Why did u post here if u didn't want people to ask questions! Especially
Aibu !!!!

I think you need to see a councillor and speak thoroughly with your consultant and have a major debrief!!! Yes it sounds shit what happened but u are Alive and so is your baby! Your baby has no apparent injuries I still don't get what's To sue over, sure you probably didn't have the labour u planned in your head but emergencies happen

Clearly thing went wrong otherwise the hospital would not have put in place measures to stop them happening again.

The OP was injured and had on going problems. It sounds horrific. She is not obliged to go into detail of she doesn't want to. She might not be able to as it's an on going legal process.

I was pulled roughly from side to side and they pressed hard on my bump. But my baby had stopped breathing and needed resuscitating so thank goodness they did.

OP - I hope you find the closure that you need and make a full recovery in due course. And congratulations on your baby, who hopefully at least makes it all feel worthwhile even if there were problems with the delivery.
