I have lovely jugs

CHJR · 05/10/2013 22:07

right, i've had it. If you lot are now quoting James Joyce I'm going to give up and join Net@@@s. You Have Been Warned. Please revert to English now! Grin

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 05/10/2013 22:08

Were the plates all busy by the block pavving?

CHJR · 05/10/2013 22:09

Or perhaps you are quoting The Who. It is nor acceptable to quote rock bands after 2 pm in my book...,

Donky · 05/10/2013 22:11

zooms are in the freezers.

Why don't we have an emoticon for Runs Away Crying For Mummeeee ? A glaring hole in the MN lexicon !

candycoatedwaterdrops · 05/10/2013 22:12

I have no problems with jugs. I find them acceptable for many a social occasion.

WireCat · 05/10/2013 22:13

Have I sniffed too much wine?

CHJR · 05/10/2013 22:18

I'm beginning to think it might help...?

gordyslovesheep · 05/10/2013 22:19

too much zooooooooooom maybe wirecate

gordyslovesheep · 05/10/2013 22:19

CAT even Grin zoom went to my head

ShatnersBassoon · 05/10/2013 22:27

Oh,a Zoom! I was thinking a zoom was a euphemism an activity.

RalphGnu · 05/10/2013 22:27

Ah, zooms. The rocket shaped ice lollies. I prefer Twisters myself.

Donky · 05/10/2013 22:28

twisters are sorbay. I prefer ice.

OP posts:
Dawndonnaagain · 05/10/2013 22:37

Is Sorbay on the west coast?

candycoatedwaterdrops · 05/10/2013 22:45

Grin Yes, it is Dawndonna and I've heard it's lovely this time of year. They do good frozen yoghurt.

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 05/10/2013 23:31

CHJR, there are a lot of historical references going on. Read this, it will help.

elfycat · 05/10/2013 23:40

haven't caught up on thread or history. And I've had a couple of glasses of Wine. Let's see how I do...

DH recently purchased a 35p plastic jug from Adsa. I think serving a tin of microwavable breakfast in a jug is just plain common sense. Plus you can see the volume of beans and can judge the 1-of-5-a-day volume from this. When DH returns from work (erm 1.5 weeks) I shall serve him thusly and see how it goes.

CHJR · 06/10/2013 00:00

Thanks empress. That did help, though if MN is going to turn out to need as many footnotes as James Joyce maybe I shoulda just stayed with the jug of wine - or indeed the beans Smile - esp at this hour

If he was doing T Rex arms again it would have been really hard for him to reach the beans in the jug. No wonder he just fannied about with them.

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 06/10/2013 08:04

It's only threads like this where you need the context, CHJR. For other useful background bits, do advanced searches for pavving (not paving), fumming and hamwidge.

DO NOT GOOGLE FUMMING.

SoupDragon · 06/10/2013 08:06

Dull dull dull.

SoupDragon · 06/10/2013 08:07

I hate threads like this because they are started purely to take the piss out of people who have literacy problems.

ZillionChocolate · 06/10/2013 08:12

It's not just about the literacy though.
