To think the way these nightdresses are advertised is creepy...

I am starting to collate things I will need for my hospital bag when I go in to have DC2 in Dec. I am looking for a couple of cheap nightdresses so went to Amazon to look at what they have and sorted by price.

I came across these and just think the way they are presented is really quite creepy and unsavoury. I am not normally a prude but AIBU?

Have you read the reviews? Or have some of you written them? Boak.

Donkeyok · 04/10/2013 22:17

Yeas Lolita thing Im reporting too.

Donkeyok · 04/10/2013 22:18

Whoops - and also what's that about posting your own images, Bluerrgh

Stravy · 04/10/2013 22:28

The model is the image of my cousin

Madeyemoodysmum · 04/10/2013 22:29

Sorry but I don't think she looks like a child at all she looks about 25. I agree the toys in the background are weird.

kali110 · 04/10/2013 22:33

I dont think she looks like a child though.shes young looking but obv an adult.

TeaJunky · 04/10/2013 22:34

ShockShockShock

That is absolutely disgusting. I am complaining to amazon too.

kali110 · 04/10/2013 22:35

Agree the wooden toy is weird but really dont think its promoting pedophelia sorry v. Bad spelling

OTheHugeManatee · 04/10/2013 22:35

The photos are just following the cosplay aesthetic - the Japanese influenced thing is very into little-girlie style. You're basically frothing at an entire subculture here, so I don't think you'll get very far reporting those pictures on Amazon.

TeaJunky · 04/10/2013 22:39

The black one is in an adult's bedroom. Hmm

How strange !

Sindarella · 04/10/2013 23:04

I have left a review on it and complained to Amazon.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 04/10/2013 23:10

Yuk. That is absolutely horrible and turns my stomach. You don't pose alf naked in provocative underwear next to toddler's toys. FFs.

quoteunquote · 04/10/2013 23:11

Very creepy, vile that this is allowed.

There are really nasty people about.

CuppaSarah · 04/10/2013 23:14

It's really just a cultural thing. Western society tends to show women looking sexy and sultry, Eastern tends to show the looking cute and innocent. She's obviously a consenting adult.

quoteunquote · 04/10/2013 23:26
Hmm
elcranko · 04/10/2013 23:45

It wouldn't be so bad but the toys make it weird for me.

KirjavaTheCorpse · 04/10/2013 23:48

The reviews echo your concerns OP. Very creepy indeed.

KirjavaTheCorpse · 04/10/2013 23:50

Oh I see they were all left today. Still.

kali110 · 05/10/2013 10:24

Theres possibility though that people on here may be the ones who have left reviews on amazon

Mojavewonderer · 05/10/2013 11:19

Hahahaha you should totally get that nightdress to give birth in! It's very roomy and the midwife won't have to lift it to see how your coming along ;)

BuzzardBirdBloodBath · 05/10/2013 11:39

I feel there will be a lot more reviews before the day is over Wink

oldgrandmama · 05/10/2013 12:13

Blimey! Creepy doesn't describe it! Clicking through, I see there's also a naughty maid's outfit from the same firm. I'd say the photos are definitely aimed to appeal to a rather sordid 'niche' market.

Booboostoo · 05/10/2013 12:23

Disturbing and I don't the cultural excuse cuts it. I've left a review.

quoteunquote · 05/10/2013 13:28

I have quite a few Japanese friends(male and female), they constantly go on about how hard it is to deal with the hideous problems of women been childlike sexualised.

It's grim, and totally unacceptable wherever you are located on the planet.
