Yes, I have big clown feet, I am well aware of that fact, so there's no need for you to comment on it even further.

It always seems to be in work that people ask how big my feet are. Then the usual comments/insults come in
"HOW big? Wow where do you park them at night?"
"Don't wear red shoes you'll be mistaken for a clown"
"They're huge. I'd hate to have feet as big as yours."

Just shut up! That's great you have lovely small size 3/4/5 feet! Do I comment on how big you ears/nose/eyes/whatever are? No! So leave my feet alone!

Ok rant over Cake Brew ahh that's better Smile

Yeah - pretty woman.

BlueStones · 29/09/2013 12:38

I'm 5'2' with size 8 feet. I don't often get comments, but at the bus stop the other day a woman looked at my feet, them slowly looked up to take in the rest of me. I stared her out Grin

CupOCoffee · 29/09/2013 12:39

I thought your comments where funny olidus. Did someone take offence? I can't see it.

Op. I would say "i also have a massive cock . . . now fuck off!"

almapudden · 29/09/2013 12:41

I'm 5'11" and have size 9 feet. Actually, though, my feet aren't especially big; I just have incredibly long big toes . They are very unattractive :(

olidusUrsus · 29/09/2013 12:51

Not sure Coffee, was worried I pissed WhoNicked off.

Hopefully not Smile

Reiltin · 29/09/2013 12:55

I'm 5'8" with women's size 11.5 feet. I love my feet! They go on for days! I've never had any negative comments about them, though people are frequently amazed and men like to measure theirs against mine Wink

Not at all olidus, I posted without reading most of the other comments actually, must learn to RTFT properly. I haven't taken it personally Flowers

On the plus side of having tiny feet, I never have trouble finding pink sparkly glittery ballet pumps that fit perfectly Hmm

olidusUrsus · 29/09/2013 13:00

Ah good WhoNicked! You just used the same turn of phrase as I did so I thought "eek!"

I am very jealous that you can find and wear pink sparkly ballet pumps.

littlemisswise · 29/09/2013 13:00

DH has size 14 feet. Everyone who makes a smart arse comment thinks they are the first, and if I had a £ for everytime someone said to me "is it true what they say about men with big feet?" I'd be a bloody rich woman.

YANBU OP.

outragedofsuburbia · 29/09/2013 13:02

Yeah but is it true?

DropYourSword · 29/09/2013 13:03

Eeeewwww, so inappropriate to say that to you littlemisswise

littlemisswise · 29/09/2013 13:05

Mermaid I am quite thin but a while a go I was 7.5 stone. People used to say the same to me. One large woman was going on at me work one day whilst she was eating a tube of Pringles. I had had enough so said to her " if I told you you should lose a few pounds and stop eating those crisps, you'd think I was rude!" She agreed that she would, so I replied " well I think it is rude to keep commenting on my weight, so I'd be grateful if you'd stfu about it!"

They didn't do it again.

DropYourSword · 29/09/2013 13:06

Apparently suburbia it's a man with big hands that you're after. Middle finger tip to crease on wrist will indicate, ahem, length. Not sure what happens in the event of finger amputation.

DropYourSword! It falls off?! Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

FellatioNelson · 29/09/2013 13:14

Surely your feet are reasonably in proportion for your height though? Confused

Mind you, I'm only 5' 2 and a half, and I am a size 5 1/2 to a 6 shoe, which I think is quite big for my height, as I have a fairly small frame/shoulders/hands etc.

Rooners · 29/09/2013 13:14

I'm 5ft7 (almost) and have size 41/42 feet. When I was a teenager this was odd and no one sold size 8 shoes for women. I used to wear Dr Martens a lot.

Somehow as I've got older, shops have started selling 8s in most styles - maybe there was a campaign or something. Except now they sometimes call a 42 a size 9 which is peculiar.

Anyway. When I was 17 my art teacher looked down and said 'wow, you have HUGE FEET Rooners' and I wasn't sure what to think.

I used to walk around barefoot a lot.
It did make me a bit more self conscious than I already was. But I'm generally quite proud of my feet and the nice shape they are, my mother told me it's because they were never in shoes till I was 3 so they grew naturally.

I have good balance Smile

outragedofsuburbia · 29/09/2013 13:15

oh I see!

My Dh has big feet and small hands........

60sname · 29/09/2013 13:15

I am 5'6 with size 8-9 feet and look like a golf club when I wear skinny jeans and converse (often). But mostly I get 'but they don't look that big).

Sales are not good for big feet as the shops usually only stock a few big sizes which are all gone by sale time - that is if they go up to 8 in the first place.

DropYourSword · 29/09/2013 13:15

Bet you find it hard to get him a glove and sock set that fit then!

acrabadabra · 29/09/2013 13:17

I haven't read the full thread yet but, if it makes you feel better, I don't think you're alone.

I work in a large, well known dept store and have done for longer than I care to remember 20 years .

After returning from my second mat leave in 2 years I ended up back in the shoe dept where I hadn't worked for maybe 10 years. I soon realised I was selling a hell of a lot more size 7 and 8's. And I was regularly asked if we sold 9's. Previously it had been size 5 or 6 as an average.

Now, this is purely anecdotal and tbh our shoe range isn't as grannyish as it once was but, in less than ten years, that's a big change.

Rooners · 29/09/2013 13:17

Glove and sock set? Is there such a thing?

Who knew...!
