He just moans and drones about everything. His restaurant reviews are almost unreadable and he seems to make a point of despising the kind of television programmes that the Hoi Polloi love. Why doesn't he just go and live on top of a tree someplace where he can look down on the rest of us, lip curled with total disdain.

I do find it quite extraordinary how quite a lot of men convince themselves that they are frightfully attractive and they are doing you a favour by actually talking to you though clearly they feel the need to resist your sexual demands.

LeGavrOrf · 26/09/2013 13:34

Oh, I would shag Giles. I am about a foot taller than him so he would intimidated to death which would make me larf.

What has Piers Morgan got? marina Hyde is pretty, as is Celia Walden and his first wife was no slouch in the looks department either. How did they see past the sweatiness?

LeGavrOrf · 26/09/2013 13:35

I read the Insider. It was a rollicking good read. Probably more truth in a Jackie Collins novel though.

LeGavrOrf · 26/09/2013 13:36

The thing is in the Giles email to the subs he had a point.

Why the hell he ranted about it when a simple explanation would do god only knows.

See? Shortarsed men. They're all the same. Look at Stalin.

Kinnane · 26/09/2013 13:37

reply from the sub editors goes ....
"Giles Coren is a sanctimonious little twat who needs to get over himself" full script-www.theguardian.com/media/2008/jul/29/sundaytimes.pressandpublishing

ubik · 26/09/2013 13:45

I wired on an evening paper where the entire back bench were shortarses. And when they went into conference there would be a quiet murmur of "Oompa, Loompa..."

Nancy66 · 26/09/2013 13:46

I totally get where GC was coming from with that rant. He went OTT but it sounded like the straw that broke the camel's back.

Having your writing dicked around with by some talentless sub is infuriating.

LeGavrOrf · 26/09/2013 13:47

Haha at oompa loompa

limitedperiodonly · 26/09/2013 13:47

Absolutely no idea what all these gorgeous women see/saw in Piers Morgan

Agree wholeheartedly with all the Zoe Williams love. She says she is a feminist and she acts and writes like she means it. And does her research too.

I find Grace Dent very funny (and I love her look, mad hair and all, it's like Dallas Joan Collins meets Corrie barmaid). However, I was seriously disappointed by her arsehole behaviour on Twitter

Caitlin Moran - dear god, so overrated, so up herself, so very tiresome. Some very brave and honest things to say about feminism though so credit where it's due

Lots of these female writers who are on Twitter seem to behave like they are in some bitchy little brat pack at secondary school - very professional Hmm

LeGavrOrf · 26/09/2013 14:24

What did Grace Dent do on twitter?

mignonette · 26/09/2013 15:07

Kate Moss has hardly got lobotomy eyes! She is one of the most engaged, lively and dynamic models in the business. Whatever extra curricular activities she may have engaged in (which was her business anyway), the fact remains that she is one of the best models EVER and has reached a level of professional success and respect that GC may aspire to but will never ever achieve. And she did it all without Daddy too.

Lottapianos · 26/09/2013 15:08

LGavrOrf, apparently some bloke made a rude comment about her appearance. She said that she knew his boss and threatened to have him fired Hmm

Beeyump · 26/09/2013 15:09

Grace Dent Twitter thing

squoosh · 26/09/2013 15:10

Grace Dent made a tit of herself on twitter

Beeyump · 26/09/2013 15:12

Grin squoosh, I seem to keep bumping into you.

mignonette · 26/09/2013 15:14

Graceless indeed. Especially as she was essentially paid to make nasty comments about people in the meeja. Nasty.

LeGavrOrf · 26/09/2013 15:29

Thanks very much. Urgh. His comments were vile and she was right to call him out on it, but not throw her weight around like that.

limitedperiodonly · 26/09/2013 15:43

Grace Dent and that Hill and Knowlton bloke are both idiots.

Twitter is Darwin's Law in action. Not to mention fucking dull, unless someone is tweeting from a terrorist incident.

And if I was hiding on the third floor, behind the door that said Toilet Out Of Action, I'd refrain from tweeting that, just in case the jihadists had a Twitter account.

Same as if I worked in PR and felt like being rude about someone with more self-regard than self-awareness.

You mummies say you hate misogynists and people who judge women by how they look. Have you all read the posts on here? Shameful. Especially about Alex (my BF) Shulman.
She who is without blame or cellulite etc. Planks in your eyes and all that. Luckily for me, Ade loves me for who I am - a luscious, blonde, youngish underwear model.

LeGavrOrf · 26/09/2013 16:03

God knows where Alexandra Shulman is any good at her job. I have never read Vogue or take an interest in it. But I do think it's rather bizarre that the editor of it looks so resolutely un groomed.

Perhaps that is the point, I am not chic enough to know.

LeGavrOrf · 26/09/2013 16:04

Planks in your eyes Grin

I have never read Tatler either. Do they have pictures of the best deb of the month or something?
