Dh has been given a bonus at work for being a general superstar. it's a night away in a hotel for all of us and theme park tickets.

I specified that we would need two interconnecting rooms, one for us and one for the children, a bath as DD wil NOT have showers and a restaurant on site because I can't be doing with traipsing the DC out for breakfast/dinner.

They've just sent through the booking and it has none of these things, it's one room with a shower, no restaurant.

I am going to get DH to complain and get the booking changed. My sister said I should just suck it up as it's free, but if it's not suitable for our needs then what's the point?

AIBU?

It was perfectly adequate, normal bogroll. Just not quilted, or something. I have no idea, it's not something I'd notice.

She is quality Grin I adore her.

Do people dislike reverse threads because it outs them as lazy feckers who don't RTFT? Grin

Panzee · 21/09/2013 21:26

Koala that's why I love reverses so much :o

happygirl87 · 21/09/2013 21:31

Great new name- it really suits you Grin

TediousFool · 21/09/2013 21:31

People dislike reverse threads because it means they can no longer be all pissy at the OP.

We all know how much the common garden mumsnetter likes to be pissy! Grin

KoalaFace · 21/09/2013 21:35

Oh yes I've seen some vair vair pissy posts today. They do seem to love the opportunity. Bless 'em.

If its only one night in a hotel, you can put up with almost anything, I'm sure it'll be fine. It sounds like its more for the convenience of travel, rather than to be a 'holiday'.

Perhaps your sister was looking forward to a night of swinging from the chanderliers type sex, and is annoyed about the lack of separate rooms Grin. Or maybe she should be transported back to the 1970s, when children only had baths on Sunday nights?

In 20 years of employment, and also being a general superstar, I have received one, single bonus of a £200 voucher, as they just don't exist in my industry, so regular treats of this nature are so far off my radar, that I would jump gratefully on every single one without complaint. we all got very excited the day it was announced that we would no longer have to pay for cups of tea and instant coffee while at work.

MrsWembley · 22/09/2013 00:23

Prosecco?!!! Surely you mean Champagne? I thought only Champagne could bring about world peace?

Surely?

AbiJen · 22/09/2013 01:02

I don't think you're being too unreasonable, but there is a way out of seeming unreasonable to those who think you are.

(btw, if I won a bottle of wine, and am not a drinker, am I ungrateful and unreasonable for not wanting it, and asking if I can have a bottle of pop instead?)

Phone up the theme park/hotel. If you explain the situation, 9 times out of 10 the problem is resolved. but you should consider not talking about your problem in a snotty way, which is what makes you seem ungrateful.

there are some really rude posters on this thread, OP is looking for help not a slagging off session, you're like a bunch of vultures!

ilovesooty · 22/09/2013 09:50

I do RTFT. I still find reverse AIBU really unoriginal and tedious these days especially when people don't own up as quickly as this OP did.
