To be in denial about the weather

I went to the neighbours this morning to see her one week old. I put on shorts and a vest top as all jeans are in the wash.

Neighbour had jumper, thick leggings and boots on. I dont want to have to fish my winter clothes out yet

Anyone else trying to drag the summer out?

I forgot to say I have a motorhome. I will go south until the end of the season.

House is freezing now!

I will be in denial till the end of September.

I put the winter duvet on the bed last night. It's really too warm with it on but it's too cold for the summer duvet. I haven't got the space for an extra duvet for spring/autumn.

I gave in and picked up the kids on Friday in my winter coat.

Puts on leccy blanket and counts thermal vests...

I have the one duvet. I dont have duvets for different weather. Is that what people do?

Haloo, we've got two part duvet that fixes at the corners with press studs; one piece is summer weight, one is spring/autumn and you fix them together to make a winter-weight. 3 for the space of two!

I thought we were supposed to be having an indian summer? Is this it now for the winter, or do you reckon the warm will be back?

It's hot here today but windy. Yesterday was scorchio!

I have my birthday and a wedding in two week. I hope the warm weather comes back!

I've resorted to leggings and long cotton skinnys, but I'm putting off sodding jeans as long as possible.

I have cotton like skinnys. I might fish them out. Ease myself into winter slowly

Summer officially ended for me yesterday, I had the washing out on the line all day and it still wasn't dry by 5pm. Had to bring it in and hang it on the clothes horse and put the heating on.

here in Shropshire it is raining, but having been outside I discover that it is actually very warm! So am opening all possible windows to let the heat IN!

We went out without coats today. Regretted it.

However, some people are leaving themselves with nowhere to go come January - there were people with full winter coat, hats and gloves in the playground. Save some layers for when you really need them people!

I've turned the fire off and I am still in my shorts.

I'm in denial too. Short-sleeved tops, sandals and also thinking about going camping at the end of this month. It's not really cold yet, just colder than it was.

i went to get my hotwater bottle last night but the seal has perished it is ancient will need to get a replacement soon
