to wonder if there's an actual reason why I'm being stalked...

...by my normally anti-social, stand-offish cat? Seriously. He just followed me to the bathroom, waited whilst I brushed my teeth then followed me back to bed. This is a cat who normally prefers to be out murdering innocent bunny rabbits for 3 days at a time. I'm starting to wonder if he's picking up on some medical condition I've missed or something!

Good luck. Those tests gave me a false negative the day after my period was due.

bootsycollins · 11/09/2013 23:23

Awww Cakes Flowers
I'm not entirely convinced by your Internet magic wee wee bulk buy paper strips tho, how many days will you let pass before investing in a clearblue test?

CakesAreNotTheAnswer · 12/09/2013 08:37

The Internet cheapies were effective very early last time. They're meant to be more sensitive ffs. I really resent dropping a tenner on something I'm going to pee on.

Ah sorry op :(

IC gave me a positive at 10dpo so depends I guess.

giraffescantdanceallnight · 12/09/2013 08:45

If cats right you could hire him out, go on dragons den with the idea!

MOTU · 12/09/2013 08:50

I gave up on ic's -switched to sainsburies own which we're only £2......

bootsycollins · 12/09/2013 22:41

Ah sorry cakes

CakesAreNotTheAnswer · 15/09/2013 19:26

SummerRain · 15/09/2013 19:50

How late are you?

If more than a week you could go and ask for a blood test from the gp.

Justshabbynochic · 15/09/2013 19:58

Maybe they're defective?

SmiteYouWithThunderbolts · 15/09/2013 20:50

Do ICs go off...? How long have you had them?

LongTailedTit · 15/09/2013 21:42

Try the Superdrug ones - £3.99 for two, so slightly less painful than £10 for a ClearBlue at least!
I got a much stronger line from the Superdrug one than the Boots one on the same day, they're meant to be quite sensitive.

Damn cat...

CakesAreNotTheAnswer · 15/09/2013 22:40

a week today. bought the tests about 4 months ago.
Wonder where my nearest superdrug is...

LongTailedTit · 15/09/2013 23:08

More to the point, what's your current proximity to the cat?! :)

SarahAndFuck · 15/09/2013 23:16

The cheap tests never worked for me, clear blue digital worked at 9pm at night when DH brought it home because I couldn't stand it any more. It gave me a positive of 1-2 weeks. Cheap tests took another week or so to register anything.

GruffBillyGoat · 16/09/2013 08:52

Hate to be a downer but sudden personality changes could mean the cat needs a vet appointment. Our very unsocial cat became very loving and clingy when she was on the way out. Hope I'm wrong though.

CakesAreNotTheAnswer · 16/09/2013 11:30

nah. He's fit as a flea. keeps bringing home bunny rabbits almost the same size as him

MTBMummy · 16/09/2013 13:21

my 2p I never got a positive on IC's - maybe try a cheapie from a pharmacy?

Onetwothreeoops · 16/09/2013 13:26

It could well be a duff batch of cheapies

HitTheNorth · 16/09/2013 13:33

I got a negative one friday (can't remember how late I was but probably about a week), then re-tested on the following monday and it was positive!

MissStrawberry · 16/09/2013 13:34

Good luck.

My cat was very attentive when I was pregnant too.
