I dont use pegs at all unless it is REALLY REALLY windy.

stealthsquiggle · 06/09/2013 22:46

Olivia Shock you rebel. You must have a very contained garden though. If I did that, half the washing would be in an apple tree and the sheep would be wearing the rest.

Jeez, this thread is an education...
I best not show it to dh, it will totally confuse him.
Confused

I think you should...

Who is Johnson, stupid or otherwise?? Confused

I see this thread has developed nicely... Grin

I actually agree with some tops needing to be pegged under the armpits to avoid pegmarks.

Socks in pairs by the ankle.

Schooltrousers or any pair of trousers with a crease to be folded neatly along their seams (so the crease is creased sharply) and hung up by their bottoms. Neatly. No ironing required thereafter.

So, in conclusion, in principle I agree with 'bottoms from the top and tops from the bottom' but not for every bottom or top - 'tis a complex subject.

I don't have a washing line anymore and I miss the neatness of my previous, beautifully hung line fluttering in the wind. I now have a pulley in the house which is the Best Thing Eva and a very practical, but not very pretty wall-mounted whirlygig that does not whirl (being wall mounted an'all). Sigh.

GiraffesAndButterflies · 07/09/2013 13:25

Off topic but Nanny Ogg, you curtseyed?? I'm sure you meant to bow and some kind of autocorrect error happened.

I match pegs except when I get annoyed with myself for doing it and force myself to use non-matching ones. then I try to sort the pegs in the basket so that I will 'randomly' select matching ones anyway
Suspect even by this thread's standards I may be over thinking my pegging.

trashcanjunkie · 09/09/2013 21:53

yes it was to you chaos however, having seen the length of time it's taken me to respond, you can probably tell why I'm so out of touch. Bloody RL Angry

UnicornsNotRiddenByGrownUps · 09/09/2013 22:16

You feckers..... I started noticing my pegs didn't match and they were all a bit different.... Ended up at ikea and bought 150 matching pegs. Every single one of them the same colour!!
