yes zing, I threw myself into my research and completed 3 trials. Can confirm that Madeira does have good dunkability. Bit crumbly mind (don't drink the last slurp of tea, no that's a mistake)

zing I think reuse able is a goer. Eco friendly. Pop it in the dishwasher after a quick rinse.and a variety of colours so one doesn't accidentally use one's DP's net. Would need to be quite fine denier. Like a muslin cloth on a little hoop.

I don't dunk as it's too messy but I do take a bite of cake and keep it in my mouth while I swig the tea so it all turns to a lovely warm mush. Mmmmmmm :)

yes, that's the correct order - bite, swig, swish!
you can't swig then bite and swish successfully - I've just been reading up on rummi's research papers, she agrees that blind testing and control groups were unsuccessful too!
