I'm getting the Hmm from dh. It's no different from biscuits is it?

Grin yes zing, I threw myself into my research and completed 3 trials. Can confirm that Madeira does have good dunkability. Bit crumbly mind (don't drink the last slurp of tea, no that's a mistake)

Pascha · 21/08/2013 23:11

OH GOOD GOD ARE YOU ALL STILL HERE?

Pascha

of course we are, isn't it what you wanted?

Rummi I'm glad you are taking this seriously. science needs more devoted people like you.

I'm off to test hot chocolate! Grin (see you at midnight? Wink )

Pascha · 21/08/2013 23:19

Mmm Hot chocolate with McVities Ginger cake...

(Scribbles hot chic and ginger cake onto testing list)

ZingWantsCake · 22/08/2013 01:29

rummi

add brioche in coffee/hot choc too to your list

but I strictly advise against fish fingers in apple juice or carrot sticks in milk.
(and sausages in toilet are actually prohibited)

morethan Grin at "sit on your hands"

I thought cake dunking sounded yucky until theseboots mentioned coffee

zing I think reuse able is a goer. Eco friendly. Pop it in the dishwasher after a quick rinse.and a variety of colours so one doesn't accidentally use one's DP's net. Would need to be quite fine denier. Like a muslin cloth on a little hoop.

Emilythornesbff · 22/08/2013 05:19

Grin and little bit boak at "fishfingerscin apple juice"

ZingWantsCake · 22/08/2013 10:01

Grin @ hot chic and ginger cake!

ZingWantsCake · 22/08/2013 10:03

Ems I like your thinking!
you want in?

(we need a special one for revenge nights!Grin
argh, when is it starting?)

Emilythornesbff · 22/08/2013 10:05

I fear zing we have to wait until the deep winter.
Although I have heard some can score an episode online from the autumn.

ZingWantsCake · 22/08/2013 10:37

Ems
yes, we could pretend we are drowning the baddies!Grin

Rummikub · 22/08/2013 10:43

Thanks zing, great ideas (not fish fingers in apple juice!)

considers custard doughnuts

GwendolineMaryLacey · 22/08/2013 11:13

I don't dunk as it's too messy but I do take a bite of cake and keep it in my mouth while I swig the tea so it all turns to a lovely warm mush. Mmmmmmm :)

ZingWantsCake · 22/08/2013 12:27

gwen

yes, that's the correct order - bite, swig, swish!
you can't swig then bite and swish successfully - I've just been reading up on rummi's research papers, she agrees that blind testing and control groups were unsuccessful too!Grin

Ok zing if you like. I'll enter the den with you but you'll have to talk about the maths.
I think some sort of nylon would be the best.
Unless mesh can be made with silicone. Which is über popular in kitchen products ATM

Bright colour range. And pastel colour range.
Cup size and coffee bowl size (for the "continental" market)

No Cath Kispdston patterns though.
