To expect dh to make ds2 some slippers?

hiddenhome · 16/08/2013 21:34

He's onto making his second pair of slippers. Ds2 is an adult size 4 and I can't find boys slippers in that size anywhere. He stubbed his toe on the vacuum cleaner two days ago and the weather will be getting colder soon.

Instead, dh is compulsively making himself slippers Hmm

It's not on is it?

I went on Amazon and there wasn't any there, but I didn't look any further really.

Seriously though, M&S have some good ones. I think I'll have to get DS some of the red boot ones.

Igloofornow · 16/08/2013 22:02

I love this thread! Asda have character slippers up to size 4!

ChippingInHopHopHop · 16/08/2013 22:04

Hidden - are you on the gin??

Really??

August.

Slippers.

Not computing.

Let alone the fact that I, myself, am a size 4 and can buy slippers in both children and adult ranges in a variety of shops.

I think you are jingling our chains Grin

'He uses leather that he has stored someplace.'

Bloody hell, I was just joking about Ed Gein Shock

Is he secretive about the shed? Have you ever seen inside?

insanityscratching · 16/08/2013 22:05

here you are a choice in size 4 from M&S

AgentZigzag · 16/08/2013 22:08

'Hidden - are you on the gin'

I am, I am!

Are we getting assessed on it?

If we are I've not had enough yet.

thehairybabysmum · 16/08/2013 22:08

Have just choked on my wine at Frisky's post Grin

hiddenhome · 16/08/2013 22:09

The reviews aren't very good for the M&S slippers.

I don't get round other shops much because I don't like people Blush

TheDoctrineOfJetlag · 16/08/2013 22:10

eBay for slippers, OP.

hiddenhome · 16/08/2013 22:10

Hang on, dh has just measured my foot. Ds2 is only slightly smaller than me, so perhaps he's going to make him the slippers after all. Huzzah Grin

ChippingInHopHopHop · 16/08/2013 22:12

M&S have lots more slippers that aren't showing on their online site. My friend bought her two some yesterday, they're lovely, I'm going to see if they have any for me soon.

hiddenhome · 16/08/2013 22:14

I find it a bit stressful going round the shops. All those people Confused

OP posts:
MonstersDontCry · 16/08/2013 22:14

Well this is a bit of a weird thread.

Just buy him some thick socks?

ChippingInHopHopHop · 16/08/2013 22:14

Ziggy - I am just about to crack open the gin. Clearly far too late in the day really.

hiddenhome · 16/08/2013 22:15

We don't have carpet, so he'll slip with just socks on. Ds2 loves slippers. I bought some from Amazon a while ago, but they fell to bits after about two weeks.

ChippingInHopHopHop · 16/08/2013 22:15

No child, no matter how clumsy, needs slippers in August Grin

WorraLiberty · 16/08/2013 22:16

My DS is a size 4 and I get his slippers from Primark

ChippingInHopHopHop · 16/08/2013 22:16

Hidden Wine Wine Wine Clearly you need it this evening Grin

When are you going to confess to being on a wind up?? Hmm Grin

hiddenhome · 16/08/2013 22:16

ha, ha ds2 is like a little ole fella, he loves his slippers and dressing gown Grin

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 16/08/2013 22:17

And you can get socks with grippers on the bottom

hiddenhome · 16/08/2013 22:17

Nooooo, it's not a wind up, honestly. I'm having real trouble finding slippers and I felt so bad because ds2 badly stubbed his toe.

SummerRain · 16/08/2013 22:19

We don't have carpet and even my hypermobile, clumsy as hell ds1 can walk without slipping.

What do you have in place of carpet? Ice? Confused

fengirl1 · 16/08/2013 22:21

How about some croc style clogs? Warm and good for toe protection.Smile

hiddenhome · 16/08/2013 22:23

We just have wooden floors and the odd rug. We have painted stairs with no gripper thingys on.
