To invite you to reveal the 'solutions' to the fictional character thread

Following on from ProudAs's wonderful fictional parents thread I am dying to know what some of the novels, plays and films that I don't recognise are.

Having stayed up far too late last night trying to work some of them out, I thought I'd start a 'solutions' thread separately as not to spoil the original. (Hope you don't mind ProudAS!).

I invite you to put me out of my misery! I managed to get a decent English Lit degree but clearly learnt nothing...!

To get things going, mine are easy, but are:

Sleeping Beauty
Ursula Bear
Dirty Dancing

Yay Pixel lets start a new thread

"What would Molesworth do?"

It's not really AIBU though, is it?

pointythings · 15/08/2013 22:36

I've just done DWJ's Time of the Ghost. If anyone on that thread gets it, they're an obsessive fan like me. Grin

UnexpectedStepmum · 15/08/2013 22:47

The Gruffalo's Child.

G'night, Blazin.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 15/08/2013 22:48

I love DWJ pointythings and recently re-read The Time of the Ghost. It's fantastic, really creepy. She was so good at adolescents...

Lweji · 15/08/2013 22:52

Jack and the beanstalk

Treasure Island

Adrian Mole (13 and 3/4)

Buffy the vampire slayer

KeatsiePie · 16/08/2013 00:43

Someone did Busman's Honeymoon and then there were references to Strong Poison and Gaudy Night, thought they were brilliant.

FairPhyllis · 16/08/2013 03:40

My final, final one I promise: Asterix.

KatieScarlett2833 · 16/08/2013 15:35

Talk round up this week with this Fred. Bravo Smile

Frettchen · 16/08/2013 15:49

My offering was another Game of Thrones one; Cersei Lannister (well, technically Cersei Baratheon, but that just seems wrong)

Woodhead · 16/08/2013 15:53

pointythings I liked yout 8 days of Luke one as well as Time of the Ghost. DWJ is brilliant.

thaliablogs · 25/08/2013 21:42

pointythings of course I got your time of the ghost (although did you poss get the number of sisters wrong? Since it was based on her childhood I thought there were just 3). Did you get my fire and hemlock?

helzapoppin2 · 26/08/2013 00:44

Cinderella and Lord of the Flies
