I went into one of my local charity shops not really expecting anything. Anyway, there sitting looking at me are a pair of pink, high-top converse in my size, looking hardly worn (I think they are actually new) for £7.99. I have been coveting a pair of pink converse for ages and looked on ebay and new pairs are going for £40+. Am so happy, feels serendipitous.

What are your amazing charity shop finds?

No fab finds but I want to have a boast...
Thanks to Mumsnetters' advice, DS1 who can't find a job before uni, is volunteering in one of our local charity shops now.

I did shed a tear as it helps fund the hospice that made the last months of his grandad's life worth living - though they never met.

I laughed like a drain when he was all excited about a red dragon being donated as I do like a nice dragon. He sent me a pic - it was the most minging thing I've ever seen. Grin

I popped into our local one yesterday because I needed some books. On the way out my DS noticed a pair of studded football/rugby boots in his size. Look as good as new , hardly worn and £3.99!

So pleased as the day before I had spent £57 on new school shoes and a pair of trainers in Clarks as the ones he has been wearing turned out to be 1 and half sizes too small. Was dreading having to pay for new rugby boots too.

Love charity shops! Brown real leather sofa for £40 in the PDSA last year- looks brand new. We get lots of compliments on it.
