To object to double dipping?

Because I do not want people to put stuff that has been in their mouths back in salsa or some other dip.

Apparently I am being odd. I should respect that other family members do not have communicable diseases and be happy with them sticking the carrot stick back in the hummus after they have wrapped their lips around it once already!!!!!

Bleugh!!!!!!!

Haha, I won't even take communion as it means sharing a drink! Yanbu - put a spoon in dips like you get with the poppodom dips in an Indian restaurant.

miffybun73 · 12/08/2013 17:59

YANBU, that is absolutely revolting.

I can understand young children doing this, but adults? Just yuck :(

ChestyNut · 12/08/2013 18:02

Also obviously have a mind way in the gutter Blush

Did wonder if it was Friday for a minute.

whitestrawberries · 12/08/2013 18:04

YANBU. People should, IMO, put some of the dip on their plate and then dip the crudites in it.

Madamecastafiore · 12/08/2013 18:04

Now I would only lick dh's ice cream, never someone else's.

I don't eat birthday cake that candles have been blown out on either.

I will for now and forever only serve one bite food so the danger of double dipping is removed!!

Yanbu , tis gross

Madamecastafiore · 12/08/2013 18:06

Ooooohhhh, Communion would be an issue as the priest touches the wafer and then I wouldn't be able to put it in my mouth.

I have asked DH to wash his knob beforehand too Wink. He doesn't seem to mind either.

Avoid all communal dips! Even though you may get your own little splodge to dip in to from your plate....someone has already double dipped in it anyway so you STILL get their germs. It makes me feel ill.

Elsiequadrille · 12/08/2013 19:17

I'd never thought about the possibility of germs from a cake with candles which have been blown out Shock

openerofjars · 12/08/2013 19:22

My ILs let every child present have a go at blowing birthday candles out.

"Ooh, no thanks, no cake for me. I couldn't eat another thing epecially not if it's been spat on by five preschoolers "
