It's my birthday today

In the 13 years we were together he either forgot, happened to be ill but was fine the days either side, promised me we would do something special and then something would crop up, or on the rare occasions he bought me something it was actually something he wanted -like a cd rewriter!

Consequently for 13 years I would spend some if not all the day crying

He has failed to pay maintenance this month and as a consequence of prioritising putting food on the table I can't afford to take my children out to celebrate -we will be dodging showers having a picnic in the park

He has sent me a text at 6.50 this morning saying 'happy birthday, hope you have a lovely day xx'

Can I reply with 'fuck off'

It would make my day!

Not that I will but grrrr

Prick!

Why 3 years with no formalised maintenance agreement?

Yr1 JSA £5 a week wasn't worth losing the flexible childcare he provided

Yr2 no regular payment but paid what he could and sorted a house out for him and the dcs & still provided regular childcare

Yr3 paid agreed amount consistently but only ever has the dcs when it suited him

Preferred yr 2

It's only been last couple of months he's messed around with payments which I got but I got late

I'd send "Honey, they are ALL great birthdays now."

I've had two birthdays since becoming single, and I made damn sure they were good ones :D
