To only just have realised that the direction of the stripes on the candies in Candy Crush dictates which way the fuckers explode

Level 133 and I have only just realised that the stripes on the candies tells you which way the little bastards will explode. I thought it was random.

I really need to get a life!

How the fucking fuck did you lot manage to get to over level 100 without knowing that? Are you just blindly tapping the screen like monkeys with typewriters and occasionally producing Shakespeare clearing a level?

Because despite having known that since nearly the start and using all the cunning strategies I can think of, I'm only on level 93.

Had figured the stripe thing, and got through the dreaded level 65 - you have to make a move that 'touches' the chocolate iyswim so that more chocolate doesn't appear - but now stuck on 97 - 25 moves to reach 100000 and the sodding bombs .....

Level 97 is a bitch but after 3 days when I thought I'd smash my iPad, I just tried it 1 morning, git loads on combos and a huge score.

I'm not sure how knowing about the stripes helps very much anyway. It's not like you can predict the next move most times, so whilst it's good to know which way they are going to explode, it's not really helping me get passed level 133!

Please can someone explain what the chocolatey 'special' one does. It just seems to randomly explode other candies. Is it actually useful

The chocolate special clears the screen of all of whichever candy you switch it with, so aim for one there are loads of.

If you switch it with a striped one, it turns all of that colour into striped ones and then explodes them, which is great.

Switching a striped and a wrapped sweet isn't as good, but it makes and explodes a massive sweet.

I'd expect you to know this but if you haven't even figured out the line thing then maybe not!

Anyone else here managed to swap a pair of Rocky Roads (the ones that wipe out along the one colour)? They wipeout the entire hoard of candies, all except none. It's soooo satisfying

I did not know this. I have been stuck on 65 for an age. How many levels are there ffs??

Also, i had the lolly hammers early on without paying but no idea how they came about.....toddles off to try 65 AGAIN!!!

Nooo! I didn't realise that either! I'm only on level 56 and refuse to pay for any boosters etc.

I hate the levels with chocolate and I hate the levels with fruit/nuts that you have to bring down. In fact, I hate the whole fucking game and will -never delete it.

Oh dear god. Just failed again. Knowing this didn't help me in the slightest. That bastard chocolate!!! I also refuse to pay - i did pay to move onto the next bit before but thats all. Therein lies madness!!

Level 65 is a bitch. I love swapping two of the speckly chocolate ones, it just rocks...

Am on 196, having been stuck on 191 for about 4 days because I solved it at a time when the bloody Candy Crush server went down, grrr!

So far 147 has been the absolute worst level of the lot.

Blimey forget I thought I was quite intelligent- it appears I'm thick as shit!

There was an article in the independent some months ago that suggested that this game only appeals to intelligent people. That is it's target market.

That was all the justification I needed to continue playing it!

Currently struggling with 181, which is entirely about exploding horizontal stripes, so I had definitely figured out the direction in which they explode. What's weird is that I can only create a horizontal stripe candy by lining up four vertical sweets.

I know this is true because I have done it 3126 times today.

If they are vertical then you have to move the 4th sweet horizontally to get it in line.
I'm stuck on 153 where you have to get two of the spotted bomb ones lined up. It doesn't have a lot moves either.
