On the tube recently, a woman with a push chair was struggling to get it down the stairs. An old man picked up one end of it to help her. Being a younger gentleman I offered to take it from him. I carried it down to the bottom of the stairs. The woman then just turned and walked off with the pushchair. No "thank you", no smile, no eye contact. Nothing.

I cant believe someone would be that rude.

Disgusting behaviour.

Very rude! I also would have shouted you're welcome. Also irritates me when driving and people cannot be bothered to wave or smile when you let them out.

I would have shouted something at her but my hearings not very good, so I had to ask my wife if she did in fact say thank you and id just not heard her. My wife confirmed that she didnt say anything or acknowledge me at all. By then the moment had gone...

Thanks for the replies!

Yanbu.

I have received very little help with my pram, most able bodied people just stare so I'm grateful if someone helps in that way. Manners cost nothing!
