To think you shouldn't sit smoke pot at a crowded family event?

Village fair type event with music and shows. Advertised as a family event. Lots of people sat on the grass knee to knee because it is sooo busy. Children EVERYWHERE. And then someone lights up and starts smoking their pot in the middle of everyone.

AIBU to think that isn't on?

The hemp I used to smell in Hempnall, apologies to those living there was as toxic a smell as weed/ not resin. It grew freely because of the wonderful damp soil conditions, it was quite boggy and often a mist in the morning.
It was thought that the neighbours plant I refer to above was the result of a bird carrying chickweed, which was also found around hemp.
I learned all this from books and folklore, well before tinternet. Grin

I think without the science and crap that resin has, the leaves are fine and imo because they grow freely should be allowed. It certainly won't harm anybody just standing in the vicinity.

You would need a license to grow hemp plants in the UK.

I know it was growing freely, not sure of license, it just grew freely and had done for hundreds of years. It was originally the area the Navy had their ropes made. It was the strongest material known, and the area I believe was easily accessible.
I think it was common land, so overgrown by hemp it was hard to tell, but I suppose if there was a business there, there would have been a license.

I don't suppose anybody else knows the area? Its only a small village
