Having the freezer means you can still feed the children a 'naice healthy meal from scratch' without having to cook anything.

I always have portions of veg curry I have batch cooked in mine. Defrost, heat up and serve. A healthy meal in no longer than it takes to cook fishfingers.

Not that there is anything wrong with fishfingers every now and then.

Our freezer is full of frozen veg, frozen fruit, frozen meat and fish, portions of meals that we've batch cooked and then frozen so we can have homecooked meals when we're too busy to cook from scratch. Plus ice-cream, of course.

For a variety of reasons I have 12 limes and now I'm going to chop them and freeze for my G&Ts. Thanks MrsHoarder!
Also in my house a full freezer is a happy freezer.

I have two freezers that a refilled every Saturday . I buy enough bread for the week (5 loaves and a large pack of soft baps) Meat for the week (enough for 7 evening meals for 5) frozen peas, frozen potato products, frozen rice, snack food like pizza, garlic bread and horror of horrors the odd crispy pancake. i also freeze left overs or batch cooked meals. No way could i cope without my freezers.
