To not wear a bra around the house and let them be natural

I hate bra's and as soon as I get home I take my bra of although I have been known to go to shop without bra, I am lucky I have small breasts.

I love my bra, I love no bra... it's easy for you if you hate them, at least you have routine. It was lunchtime before I realised that I'd forgot to put mine on, and only because an otherwise respectable dress WITH bra didn't sit right without, and my slightly larger than the other breast was making a run for it via the v neck.

SolidGoldBrass · 27/06/2013 00:38

I simply don't bother with bras unless I'm dancing. I don't like them and never have done, so why should I wear one?

I appreciate that, depending on the size of your tits, some women are more comfortable with a bra than without, and that's up to the individual concerned, but I really don't get this idea that it's somehow wrong or indecent not to wear one.

SupermansBigRedPants · 27/06/2013 00:47

I've been taking mine of as soon as I get home for so long df now mentions when I still have it on Grin annoying on the rare occasion i want to keep it on though as god bless him he gets so confused!

AudrinaAdare · 27/06/2013 01:03

Bras as comfortable as jeans? Well it's a start but jeans aren't comfy. They have waists and fastenings and are not baggy and made of cotton. I really can't imagine any bra being as nice to wear as none at all. They're designed to move body parts to where they do not naturally rest. I don't see men wearing everyday clothing which does this.

TerraNotSoFirma · 27/06/2013 01:12

So if I'm 35 under bust and 45 around the middle, what size would that make me?
I can't figure it ou.

TerraNotSoFirma · 27/06/2013 01:13

Out.

nooka · 27/06/2013 01:25

I hate bras too. So I never wear one. I'm not longer pert post children, and sometimes my nipples are a bit obvious but I hate the feeling of having my ribs strapped.

I've been measured and they always say they need to be tighter/more closely fitted around my ribs so I don't think it is the fit that's the problem. I guess I would get used to the feeling if I was better endowed and needed support but I'm only an A/B (although I can now hold a pencil in place).

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 27/06/2013 01:27

I'm incredibly jealous of you ladies and your bralessness!
I usually have pretty small boobs and whipping off the old bra is the thing i Iook forward to when I walk through the door. However, I'm BF'ing DS so am permanently in a bra at the moment, even to bed as the extra support is needed and also need something to hold in those flamin breast pads (just to add further to the uncomfortable feeling).
Even my super comfortable bravado sports type nursing bra is still just 'there'!

Oh how I'm looking forward to my braless evenings again!

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/06/2013 02:30

terra, , you would want to try around a 34gg or h and a 36g or gg. The 34 will probably be better I'd guess as people who have in between measurements but quite big boobs tend to need the extra firmness of the smaller back

mrssprout · 27/06/2013 03:15

Mine comes off as soon as I get in the door, if I am at home all day & not expecting visitors it doesn't go on at all. I always wear one going out, just feels strange not to. The only exceptions to this have been when I have had broken ribs a few times & it hurt too much so I went out without one

TimeofChange · 27/06/2013 06:29

Bras whatever size or style will never be comfortable to some of us.
I don't like tight waistbands either.
I don't like jeans, they are restricting.

I can get away with not wearing a bra at all in the winter, but wear one for work in the summer.

TWinklyLittleStar · 27/06/2013 06:31

I am Envy of you bra-removers at the minute. I have pmt hurty boobs and super sensitive nipples; I took my bra off for bed but my tshirt fabric rubbing was too much. Sports bra in bed it is.

Jaynebxl · 27/06/2013 06:47

Supermansbigredpants just wondering who you mean by DF? Surely your dad isn't commenting on your bralessness?!

imnotmymum · 27/06/2013 06:54

Oh yes especially on a hot , long day after work, bliss.

Bunbaker · 27/06/2013 07:35

Long, hot day? What is one of those?

perplexedpirate · 27/06/2013 07:39

Nope, don't get this at all. I love my bras and spend £££ on them and make sure they fit properly.
I wear a bra of some description pretty much 24/7.
I'm due a big ol' underwear shop- yay! Smile

Almostfifty · 27/06/2013 07:45

I've just come back from Europe, where a lot of ladies go bra-less as a matter of course.

There were quite a few who really, really needed some support, including one lady whose boobs met in the middle of her stomach. She was probably only in her forties, but it really was not a good look and I can't for the life of me see how she was comfortable walking around like that.

SorrelForbes · 27/06/2013 07:45

I see the other bra interventionists beat me to this thread! Grin.

Nooka. Where were you measured? I think we've only ever found one or two people at most on the bra threads who, when properly fitted, were actually smaller than a C cup.

livinginwonderland · 27/06/2013 07:52

I love wearing mine, ha. I don't feel comfortable having my boobs flopping about everywhere!

Oblomov · 27/06/2013 08:04

Laughing at this. I love to whip mine off and put on my dressing gown.

But surely, there is a middle ground?
For those that want to whip off their bra. I would prefer some sort of cropped/fitted top/vesty top, with some support, but ultra ubber comfy .
Equivalent of slipping into your pj's.

Surely there is such a thing?

Bunbaker · 27/06/2013 08:10

"I think we've only ever found one or two people at most on the bra threads who, when properly fitted, were actually smaller than a C cup."

Me Sad

WandaDoff · 27/06/2013 08:11

Taking my bra off, is one of my favourite bits of the day.

Sallystyle · 27/06/2013 08:15

I only wear a bra when I am going out and a top requires it.

I quite often wear a vest and just a top without a bra. A cup boobs.

Sallystyle · 27/06/2013 08:18

And I am pretty sure I am wearing the wrong size and need to measure.
