To not pay this parking ticket from Total Parking Solutions because its a scam?

There is info online saying this company is unethical and don`t pay, but ts difficult when you get threatening letters to find the courage to ignore it (thats the ploy apparently).

I have been ignoring Parking Invoices from Total Parking Solutions (TPS). I have now received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus a "Notice of Intended court Action". It states if I don`t pay £148.00 it will go to the creditors solicitor to commence court proceeding.

Apparently I have ignored a previous letter from them - but this is the first I have received.

The original parking invoice was because I stayed 20 mins over the allowed time in a Health Centre car Park. The Health Centre has a Boots and two Dr`s Surgeries on it. So I guess that they are the clients of TPS.

I work from one of the Doctors Surgeries- I am not employed by them but work as a therapist with their Patients. I was asked to come in by the Surgery for an I.T induction and I parked in their car park.

The Car Park was free so there has been no financial lose on their clients part, plus I was invited by them (but I should of noticed the cameras I guess).
Therefore should I just keep ignoring this?

Anyone else have a ticket and it went away? Hmm

You can't ignore these anymore. The law changed and they will enforce it by taking you to court.

There is a loop whole

What is the date of the parking offence and what date did they send you the first letter?

Hi, my partner has just had a letter from Total Parking Solutions saying he was on the premises for 51 minutes and not paid to park the carpark entrance/exit had the camera where they clocked the car come and leave.
My partner was not parked in a bay or on any lines he was waiting to pick me up from work at a hospital and I was running late does this warrant a ticket or a good case to appeal?

@Ange38 - You would be better off starting your own thread rather than reviving an old one. People may respond to the original post from 2013 without realising this is an old thread.

Your partner does not have a case to appeal. There is a short grace period of 5-10 minutes when you enter a car park to allow you to find a space, park and pay. If you stay longer than that, you must pay. The fact he was not in a bay or on any lines is irrelevant. The fact he was waiting to pick you up from work and you were late is also irrelevant. He was in the car park for 51 minutes and should therefore have paid. Any appeal will fail.
