To put his baby in the washer?

If not do I just lob it on or does it need putting in a pillow case?

He has hid her so I cant wash her. Hes saying 'no point wash her mum' 'washer hurt her' and my favourite 'babies no in baths not washer, silly you'

I am going to wash it. It is disgusting. Its pink body is nearly black! Luckily he painted her nails so you cant see the dirt under them.

He is making out like I am the worse person ever so I'm going to do it when he goes to his dads. Well once I find it

This - ours was from Tesco. Courtesy of MIL. (She meant well but didn't realise my dislike of dolls). I don't like anything about it. Thankfully DD is not attached emotionally as such to it. She'll happily pick it up by the feet, or push it round in the pushchair with its head smacking into the wheels.

I might have to give it a sponge down.

My mum gave my son his. It was my sisters but she has loads of dolls. Just so happened this was the only one that made noise!

He has a pram and he takes her for walks when we go to the shop. He will stop every few minutes to check she is sitting right. Seriously, she is PFB Grin

I deliberately picked a baby indestructable, washing machine safe item when 12mo DS2 got excited in the dolly aisle in the toy shop. They haven't been in the machine yet, but only because he has been distracted by a large cuddly animal so they are a bit neglected now and staying a bit cleaner.

I gave DS1's favourite cuddly a 'bath' in a big plastic tub with Persil non-bio liquid in the water for bubble bath! I scrubbed him with an old spare bottle brush and he came up quite nice Grin

Maybe that would work for baby but without immersing her?

nowaydude · 23/06/2013 09:56

Hmm that first paragraph sounded a bit smug Blush I only picked the washable doll after trying to get DS1's stuff clean Grin

Don't do it.

I put baby in the washing machine then completely forgot to shut the kitchen door.

I came down from the bathroom to see 20mo DS frantically yanking on the washer door yelling "Nooooo! Baby! Baby!"

Many parenting points were lost that day.

I have to be careful with what I do as this doll is weird looking and I know if it doesn't like my it will turn all chucky.

Voice box isn't removable unless I cut it open which will make it more Chucky like once I've stitched it back.

I might let him pick a new doll tomorrow. Pram covers in the wash hut I dont like the idea of putting a dirty baby in a clean pram.

Toys go on holiday you know and send their 'cousins' to take their place. This actually worked on DNiece when there was a favourite toy lost on holiday incident.

foreverondiet · 24/06/2013 00:02

Ds2 was violently sick over iggle piggle. I cut out the voice box (with scissors) washed in washing machine and then reassembled (without any sewing - there is Velcro) he didn't notice!

Creepy Baby and toddler are asleep in bed. Her eyes are only half closed due to the angle shes on.

Dolls shouldn't be allowed.

Weeze<

Now we get parenting advice from our DC as well as DP and PIL?!

Bad mummy, doesn't even know how to bathe a baby! >Walks away muttering

ThisReallyIsNotSPNopeNotAtAll · 24/06/2013 00:30

Special I obviously have no clue but the toddler who thinks underwear and sunglasses are appropriate outdoor scootering attire does. Hes been parenting a doll for nearly a year, god,him and his PFB.

I'm not even allowed to feed her as I don't burp her right apparently

This thread has had me in hysterics. Your DS And DGD sounds like such the character!

Excited to see what my DTs are like as they're entering toddlerdom now gulp DTD in particular comes out with some corkers.

My son wants to go to a pet store to get a rat that he can carry on his back. He wants to take baby to help him decide Confused

I'm going to see if he will help me scrub her tonight or something. Nice clean pram and a feral baby in it. People will think he is neglecting her

So how are DS and PFB doing?

ThisReallyIsNotSPNopeNotAtAll · 25/06/2013 11:22

PFB is on time out. No idea why but I'm not going to interfere when he is the parent.

My son is not happy with his PFB at all. Told her he isn't going to feed her. Bit harsh Grin

ThisReallyIsNotSPNopeNotAtAll · 25/06/2013 13:05

Baby definitely needs to have an 'accident' Ever seen The Sopranos?

Or please, please put up a picture. I don't think this doll can be more creepy than I'm imagining - And I really, really, REALLY hate dolls! - Grin
