To put his baby in the washer?

ThisReallyIsNotSPNopeNotAtAll · 22/06/2013 16:34

If not do I just lob it on or does it need putting in a pillow case?

He has hid her so I cant wash her. Hes saying 'no point wash her mum' 'washer hurt her' and my favourite 'babies no in baths not washer, silly you'

I am going to wash it. It is disgusting. Its pink body is nearly black! Luckily he painted her nails so you cant see the dirt under them.

He is making out like I am the worse person ever so I'm going to do it when he goes to his dads. Well once I find it

ChaoticTranquility · 22/06/2013 18:55

Is this same baby that he rolled up in the car mat? :D

FringeEvent · 22/06/2013 19:06

"'babies no in baths not washer, silly you"

Next time DS is bathing, let him take baby in the bath with him, plus a flannel and/or nail brush the bottle of whatever he washes himself with.

Job done.

FringeEvent · 22/06/2013 19:07

... nail brush and the bottle of whatever he washes himself with

(I accidentally a word)

ThisReallyIsNotSPNopeNotAtAll · 22/06/2013 19:07

Slime Yes, its that baby.

Fringe He wont get in the bath with the baby as he wants to play. He has no sense of responsibility Grin He washes her face with a toothbrush now and again

Aww no, dont put baby in the washer, he'll be heartbroken! Just buy her a few interchangeable babygrows instead to cover her manky body. You can put those in the washer Grin

teenagetantrums · 22/06/2013 20:03

put in a pillow case and in the wash, really he will get over it.

Turniptwirl · 22/06/2013 20:11

As a child I was told dolly had a pillowcase over her very hard plastic head to protect her. Only realised a couple of years ago that it was actually to protect the washer!

I was about 10 when I had a dressing gown that I refused to allow to get washed because it felt lovely and soft. After i eventually gave in it came back clean and admittedly smelling better but felt all stiff and horrible and I went off it completely

MoonlightandRoses · 22/06/2013 21:48

Hmmm, maybe you should look up Robert the doll first? Smile

Give the toddler a bowl of soapy water and a nail brush and let him 'bathe' dolly. Then you can chuck her in the wash after she's been muted.

Ahh don't put his baby in the washer, it will come out all silent and moribund. Can't you just give it a lick and a promise with a sponge and some bleach?

mumofweeboys · 22/06/2013 22:55

Suprised he went to his dads without it. Mine r surgically attached to their monkies - thank god they can be washed as they smell vile after a while

LalyRawr · 22/06/2013 23:02

I put DD's blanket in the wash. Se takes it everywhere and it stunk. She also pooed on it, so had to be washed.

She sat by the washing machine and sobbed for the entire 1 hour and 32 minute cycle. Interrupted only by her bringing my phone to me saying 'Dad, dad, dad'. I called her dad, put the phone on loud speaker and he was treated to 3 minutes of her wailing 'blaaaaaaaankie' before she toddled off to the washing machine again to sob some more.

Do not wash the toy. For the love of god do not wash the toy!

rockybalboa · 22/06/2013 23:05

DS1's knitted bunny goes in the wash a lot (when he's out of the house). I wouldn't put a plastic toy with a noise box in the washer though. Can you not scrub it clean? Or if he thinks it should go in the bath stick it in with him next time (altho that will still kill the noise)

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 22/06/2013 23:11

Don't hurt the baby! DS will be heartbroken.

MrsCosmopilite · 22/06/2013 23:12

Thisis I thought it was going to be that baby as soon as I read the thread title.

We are cursed with one of them too. Pink soft body (it's sewn into some sort of babygrow), solid head and hands and creepy face. Ours is called Baby Jack. It regularly gets dropped or deliberately trodden on. It also has paint on its head where it was smacked into the wall. I'm hoping it'll break one day.

ChippingInWiredOnCoffee · 22/06/2013 23:17

How could you treat something that your DS loves with such disregard?

You could have wiped it over if you were that bothered about how 'clean' it was - but you didn't, you set about to destroy it.

MousyMouse · 22/06/2013 23:21

put her in the washer.
wool cycle, no spin.
and just tell him dolly had a bath but because she was being silly and didn't want her hair dried she now has a strep throat and can't talk anymore thank god

HopHopHopSplash · 22/06/2013 23:28

SP your threads about your DS always make me smile Grin

Why not let him take her in next time he has a bath? Then it's not the washers fault if the creepy thing goes mute!! Grin

HopHopHopSplash · 22/06/2013 23:29

Aha just read your reply about that, what about in the paddling pool if it ever gets sunny again theb

ThisReallyIsNotSPNopeNotAtAll · 22/06/2013 23:53

Chipping Set about to destroy what?! Confused I haven't actually done anything as yet.

If I was going to destroy I would have done before my mum gave the creepy fucker to him.

Its still in his bed.
