To think eyelashes on cars are just creepy?

Why do people do this? It just looks peculiar and freaks me our a bit. Someone near us has actually scratched them into the paintwork around the headlights - they are already rusting.

I like the eyelashes; they only really work on cars with round 'eyes' though. They look menacing on a Peugeot 207 I would think.

If I could get away with them and still look professional, I so would. I can't so I mustn't. :(

The only silly embellishment I've seen on a car recently was on a neighbour's little yellow job - possibly some sort of Fiat - didn't really notice - cars aren't my thing:

It had a couple of yellow paw-prints on the back window, with black paw-marks on the paintwork below from where the paint had been trodden. Cute, clever & it made me smile every time I drove past.

She got a new car last week - plain boring with no footprints
