to feel quite uncomfortable about this

I posted on here a few days ago about something very sensitive and upsetting that has really been troubling me. Won't go into too much detail but it was regarding my teenage daughter and some anger problems she's having.

I got a PM from a researcher for a TV company asking if I would be interested in appearing in a TV show about child to parent abuse. (No, I wouldn't!)

AIBU to feel uncomfortable about my post being read in this way? I guess I do have to accept that it's the internet and everyone can see my post, but it just didn't sit well.

Sorry that this happened and have upset you washyourhair. As the many wise people upthread have said, PMs are not for commercial researchy purposes - so please do report it to us.

If any MNer gets a PM like that (or one that is concerning them), then the thing to do is to report it, and we'll sort it out

As a gentle aside, this sort of thread is best off in Site Stuff, as we check there regularly, and are more likely to see it!

I had one chasing me to do something on extended BFing. DD2 hates me posting on here, she's really going to pose for pictures her school friends might see Hmm

I did report it and MNHQ promised to have a word.
