to ask am I the only person with an imploding Hellman's mayo bottle?

New non leak bottle. No mayo leaks out, no air goes in. Bottle has imploded with half of mayo still inside. Friend said the same. Anyone else? Determined not to waste mayo so will now have to hack it open with a knife.

Right oh usual, I'll put the knives away and get the step ladder out instead so I can get a decent height.

Good plan, at least I could get some mayo out of the hole in the bottle

Me! Its really annoying! Thankfully I have a Pampered Chef skinny scraper thingy which fits inside.

Yep. I'm struggling already and we've only had it 2 weeks.

I have found that if you hold it in your left hand at a 90° angle, shake it 3 times and then throw it in the bin and never buy it again it helps.

I emailed Hellmans a week or two ago to tell them the new lid was crap. They sent me £4 worth of vouchers and said they are investigating the issue. You are the consumer, tell them what you want! (and get free stuff.)

Yep, mines been standing in a bowl without the lid for a week several days and nothing has come out. Is thid all part of a wicked plan tto maximise profits by gettin us to throw away half-full bottles? Well we won't be - back to glass jars for us!

Had a Heinz mayo as well that all peed out all over ds's lap before he'd squeezed it.
Think I might stick to jars

Obvs been taking tips from the make-up industry whirly some of whom are extra sneaky using glass bottles so no chance of getting the remaining stuff out by hacking with knives

Sounds like I should stick with the Aldi mayo, in a glass jar, for a while yet then.

Me too. But don't throw them away- why would you do that? Cut them open, scoop the mayo out into a jar or something.

Yes I squeezed mine and it stayed in as air couldn't get in..I had to turn it upside down and undo the cap

my friend brought 2 on offer and had the same problem, I have one and after learning from her crying with laughter I have been turning mine the other way up and squeezing the opposite way till its back to normal shape, its not going last though, the bottle is starting to refuse to reshape as is hellmans evil plan to make us all buy more mayo!

I've reverted to buying jars, the inverting bottle gave me rage.

Yep, on our second and it's a crap design, threw loads away in the first one

Sommink when its upside down unscrew the cap...it then goes back to shape...shouldn't have to do it though

They do have Facebook - and lots of people on there complaining about the bottles

Here's their Facebook,but they'll tell you to contact customer services yourself.

We have a bottle, just used it for egg mayo, and it's a pain in the arse. Back to jars in future.

Another one who's gone back to jars here, bloody awful design.
