Last thing at night is a bad idea? I've been enjoying watching it, looking forward to seeing it, and have to wait until after the DC are in bed before we watch but it's giving me weird dreams....

Yall should watch Breaking Bad if you haven't. It is better. (And I am a real Dexter fan)

RobotElephant · 10/06/2013 22:58

Fucking HELL OneCup Angry

OliviaMMumsnet · 10/06/2013 23:01

Oi No spoilers please

RobotElephant · 10/06/2013 23:02

Thanks Olivia.

I LOVE Dexter too. Just finished season 3 and am saving 4+ for my mat leave. BUT - would it be wrong of me to watch it once DD arrives - traumatising for baby? Grin

dontputmeinanoldcot · 10/06/2013 23:41

I watched season 3 when DS was 1 week old. I found it sooo tough as i was still adjusting to being a new mum. Haven't watched it since which is a shame because i loved series 1-2...

mrsdinklage · 11/06/2013 00:06

Another one here on season 7, its great - but Endfy - how on earth can you fall asleep watching Shock - saying that dh fell asleep watching it last night Grin

Bumblebee333 · 11/06/2013 00:31

Just started season 7. Love it.

Enfyshedd · 11/06/2013 05:58

mrsdinklage - it's annoying! DD (now 1yo) is BF & cosleeps will not sleep without me in touching distance so I normally settle down with her on the sofa to get her off the sleep. Problem is that after an hour of her sleeping/staying latched on (teething - not fun) and a full day of work, I tend to drop off for an hour or so!

Managed to watch season 6 over 4-5 nights (a couple of weeks during the nights the DSSs were with their mother) while DD was about 1-2 mo during the evening feeds before going to bed. Grin

mrsdinklage · 11/06/2013 14:09

Enfy - problem solved -and staying latched on whilst teething is not fun either ! - It must be worse when Dexter makes you jump out of your seat Shock

pardonmytits · 11/06/2013 14:56

I LOVE Dexter. Still catching up though - watched the first two series when they were first on but then other stuff got in the way. Nearly at the end of series 3 now.

He is absolutely delicious, though. Mine! Grin

DarkWinter · 11/06/2013 15:07

We got NetFlix in April, and just watched all six series on there! Now I get an earworm of the bloody theme tune at random times (especially on days where we watched more than one episode the night before ...)

Debating whether to get series seven on DVD for when we go on holiday!

Hard to believe he's the same guy who played David in Six Feet Under ....

Calmisthemantra · 11/06/2013 15:44

This blew my mind - Dexter & Deborah are married in real life!!!!

Love dexter - will be so sad when it ends, although k was starting to wonder how much longer it could keep going. Would rather it end on a high rather than getting a bit shite

pardonmytits · 11/06/2013 16:01

They got divorced too Calmis, think during the filming of series five. That blew my mind also - wonder what that working atmosphere was like!

apparently they only split up because he didn't want children.

HolidayArmadillo · 11/06/2013 17:48

They were married?! Wow! I love dexter although wAsnt enamoured with the direction it went in series 7.

MrsLettuce · 11/06/2013 17:53

Am near the end of season 5 ATM. Bloody love it!

Have been watching 2 to 4 episodes a night, which is probably not such a good idea Hmm

Kirk1 · 12/06/2013 09:14

So, we finished season 1 last night! Does he get a serial killer each season? I had figured out who the ice truck killer was about 2 episodes before it was revealed. How did Dexter miss it? I also made a leap and guessed why he was obsessed with Dexter. I am now excited that I have another 6 seasons to watch. I'm still not convinced that its suitable bedtime viewing though!

Kirk - this is a no spoilers thread Smile - so I'm saying nothing. Its certainly not for the faint hearted.

RobotElephant · 12/06/2013 11:14

Just you wait OP.. they just get better and better Grin

It follows a similar format for the next few seasons though, yes.
