Silly silly girl. Rep ruined forever because she was showing off to a stranger. Why do these celebs do it?...

OP posts:

I don't care if she's taking cocaine/arranging deals for friends or whatever but the comments she made to look hard about selling crack as a teenager were vile if they are true. Can't remember as I read it this morning but wasn't she going on about how she sold it and its the worst drug for people to get hooked on and if they get hooked they'll end up homeless etc.

I cringe at people like her putting that stupid voice on and banging on about 'ghettos'. How embaressing for her.

Meh
So she procured a bit of coke for someone. Who cares, really? I mean, coke is vile and reprehensible and gross but all the slebs are at it. It's hardly a surprise.

OHforDUCKScake · 02/06/2013 19:28

To be fair though Tilly, where she came from, thats exactly the way of life. 'Ghetto' is an american term.

But where she grew up is horrifcally deprived, they have gangs and all sorts of things occur. Something I hope to God my boys never experience.

I studied gangs during my degree, she may 'speak like that' or 'talk of this' and 'act like that'. But its because its all she ever knew.

Shes a high earning singer/celebrity now, but its not been long. She was not in a good place before that.

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 02/06/2013 19:32

She never had a good "rep" anyway OP. She was the type of celeb who'd go out with the stickers still on her shoes.

xTillyx · 02/06/2013 19:50

Kind of get what you're saying OHforDUCKScake (love the name.lol) but she was bragging about it, how she got away with it because she was pretty etc. A lot of people growing up in deprived areas have their own and family members lives ruined by drugs. Its not something to brag about that you supplied them with the means to ruin their lives. The context she was talking about it wasn't like she was doing one of her interviews about how she's changed her life from where she was and how sorry she is, it was to look hard.

qazxc · 02/06/2013 20:30

I'm a bit Hmm at her assertion that she doesn't do coke, if she was it would explain why she was telling all to a virtual stranger in a nightclub. Either that or she is a quite childish person that thinks that those types of stories/behavior/friends impress people and make her look more interesting/edgy/street/hard, in which case she might have been exaggerating fibbing a bit. Probably a bit of both. In any case I'd say she is very much regretting that particular episode of verbal diarrhea.

IsabellaPasta · 02/06/2013 21:15

qualitytoffee you can polish a turd. Cheryl Cole.
Tulisa was far from polished however.

qualitytoffee · 02/06/2013 21:52

True Isabella, true xx

ExcuseTypos · 02/06/2013 21:56

Her last album was a flop and she was kicked off X factor.

She was finished anyway.

MamaMumra · 02/06/2013 21:59

quality toffee
I love that expression Grin

MamaMumra · 02/06/2013 22:00

Just a bit smeared isabella

MellyMunster · 03/06/2013 19:14

OHforDUCKScake - Tulisa did NOT grow up in a ghetto! She lived in the leafy, wealthy suburb of Hampstead, in a million pound apartment bought for her father and mother when they had Tulisa. Her grandfather was an extremely wealthy diplomat for the United Nations. In her teens, after her father was kicked out by his second wife, Tulisa and Plato moved to West Hampstead where his family owned a 9 bedroom mansion. This story about her growing up in a "deprived area/ghetto" and about how "skint" she was, is just a fantasy either she or her management at that time made up to give her "street cred". She DID deal in crack cocaine and other drugs in her late teens, as she befriended a gang in Camden.

usualsuspect · 03/06/2013 19:19

The Sun is a pile of shite.

OHforDUCKScake · 03/06/2013 19:57

Okay, so MellyMunster is apparently Tulisa's step mum. She just PM'd me a heartfelt and hurt PM.

Like I said in my reply Melly if what you are saying is true, then you need to move on from it and Im not sure why you are hurt and disappointed. A quick Google says you like to voice your opinion of her mistakes.

As for me being wrong up thread .

dopeysheep · 03/06/2013 20:10

Her dad was in Mungo Jerry - 'In the summertime /something something something on my mind....'

OHforDUCKScake · 03/06/2013 20:13

I used to love that song. Then they used it for that drink driving advert years ago which was shocking.

Now whenever I hear that song I just see a dead bleeding body. Confused

Panzee · 03/06/2013 20:16

Cheryl isn't particularly polished, is she? :o

DawnOfTheDee · 03/06/2013 20:18

I believe the full saying is "You can't polish a turd.....but you can roll it in glitter" Grin

SPsCliffingAllOverMN · 03/06/2013 20:19

I dont see the big deal.

She was set up. I could direct someone in the direction of certain drugs but I dont take them. O doubt her 'rep' is ruined.

Branleuse · 03/06/2013 20:31

celebrity takes cocaine???? ORLY?

Fakebook · 03/06/2013 20:33

She was already ruined from the off.

She looks like a thinner version of super nanny Jo Frost.

WhenIGrowUpIWantToBeAPenguin · 03/06/2013 20:54

I can't believe how judgemental people are being. Is what she did wrong? Yep. Is she perfect? No. Is anyone? No.

But if you fancy getting an different point of view, and taking a moment to think about the agendas at work here, try reading this article from the Independent

WildlingPrincess · 03/06/2013 21:02

It will boost her career. She'll have to appear in The Sun with a picture of her looking all teary-eyed first though.

WildlingPrincess · 03/06/2013 21:09

That's a really good article WhenI
