to go on Rightmove today? The painting up the stairs in photo 18 & others and the bathroom in photo 17 particularly stood out as not being neutralised for sale.

its a lovely house and you could quite easily repaint if you didnt like it.

Raptorrethy · 31/05/2013 16:07

I like it too! So interesting...something I'd never be brave enough to do lives in exactly the latte and white house someone described earlier

ImTooHecsyForYourParty · 31/05/2013 16:12

well, someone thinks they're an artist, don't they? Grin

It's cosmetic. It would be so easy to get rid of.

It's a great house. I'd buy it. It's got real potential. Get rid of the stuff on the walls and rip out the bathrooms and it could be really lovely.

GetOrfMoiLand · 31/05/2013 16:13

shagadelic, baby

SilverOldie · 31/05/2013 16:25

What about photo 8 on this one - the bathroom looks like a hairdressers. www.rightmove.co.uk/new-homes-for-sale/property-26977092.html

I don't get why you'd need all those separate wash basins and chairs in your bathroom? A big family and everyone needs their own 'station' when the hairdresser/stylist/makeup artist turns up to get you ready for the red carpet?

stepawayfromthescreen · 31/05/2013 16:52

10 mil? Wonder if I could knock 'em down to 9? (scratches chin)

GetOrfMoiLand · 31/05/2013 16:53

What a horrible house for 10 million quid.

SilverOldie · 31/05/2013 17:28

This one is £2.5m but check out photo 5, ugh clash between chair upholstery and wallpaper. www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-40978493.html

BeauNidle · 31/05/2013 17:34

StuffezLeYoni I absolutely howled at your post Grin

Also looks like a vagine on the glass bath door thing

IneedAsockamnesty · 31/05/2013 17:35

I have a bathroom like the one in that last house I have lots of children its helpful

IneedAsockamnesty · 31/05/2013 17:36

I meant the one with the sink stations

HoneyStepMummy · 31/05/2013 18:06

Oh dear. I do like the bathrooms, but then again I live in New Jersey. The tiger's head over the mattress is beyond awful, and the rest of the house looks twattish. They look like the type of people who have an underpaid overworked au pair who was made to paint the murals

LynetteScavo · 31/05/2013 19:03

Ewwww, GetOrfMoiLand, that house in Chigwell was made for orgies!

LessMissAbs · 31/05/2013 19:38

Its not good. Such a mishmash of styles from Scottish twee to Scottish baronial, trompe l'oeil to overly stylised wall paintings, modern and plain (dining room) to just the odd - the bed on the open landing - what is the need for that in a house with 5 bedrooms???

Mind you, I live in a city so style-less that stripped pine skirting and doors, bright red carpets and and bright blue walls is de rigeur. Yes, people actually redecorate in those precise colour schemes - or at least I am guessing they do, due to the amount of houses for sale featuring it.

ouryve · 31/05/2013 19:41

Oooh, that's not far from my parents! You reckon someone's been on one too many Mediterranean holidays?

A few coats of emulsion and that would be a gorgeous house :o

ouryve · 31/05/2013 19:48

That bedroom is quite something, getorf. Looks like they ran out of money and went to dfs for the rest of it, though!

Tricycletops · 31/05/2013 20:43

Also looks like a vagine on the glass bath door thing

Beau I was just scrolling down to post that!

BehindLockNumberNine · 31/05/2013 21:49

Have just scrolled through the whole thread and clicked every linky just to find the vagine on the shower doors! And what a disappointment that was....

Hmm

And here is the spooky thread

BehindLockNumberNine · 31/05/2013 21:50

Oh, and also, on the original house, picture 6, are those creamy patches murals all over the ceiling or is it damp??

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 31/05/2013 23:01

Murals gone mad Grin

CatOfTheDay · 01/06/2013 02:16

I've posted this before - I love it!!!

And now it's up for sale with another agent too and they've taken
MORE PHOTOS!!!

They just need to cut the price in half now. I'd buy it then.

SamuelWestsMistress · 01/06/2013 06:52

Oh I think that is absolutely stunning! Everything about the interior is right up my street. Lovely! Not a bad price either.

MothershipG · 01/06/2013 07:19

Wow! Cat, not sure I could live with all their 'decorative schemes', but I love the mural on the back wall. Smile

But their problem is people are going to go around totting up how much it's going to cost to redo.
