to go on Rightmove today? The painting up the stairs in photo 18 & others and the bathroom in photo 17 particularly stood out as not being neutralised for sale.

3 dining rooms? One for each meal of the day????

BehindLockNumberNine · 30/05/2013 23:11

I found it a bit creepy.... Don't think I would sleep well there! (mind you, have just been reading the spooky thread so may be under the influence of too much 'woo')

QuintessentialOldDear · 30/05/2013 23:11

But look at what these people have done in the loft conversion!!!

TheChaoGoesMu · 30/05/2013 23:12

I like it.

Gingersstuff · 30/05/2013 23:24

I love it. But then I have candy pink kitchen units. Can't stand magnolia-and-latte houses.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/05/2013 23:24

OMG Quint that's like migriane on a roll wallpaper Shock

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/05/2013 23:25

should be migraine Blush

QuintessentialOldDear · 30/05/2013 23:28

It is a shocker! The rest of the house is perfectly bland pleasant, and suddenly BOOM!

wharrgarbl · 30/05/2013 23:29

Hooly dooly that loft's a bit much. Imagine waking up to that every morning!

UnrequitedSkink · 30/05/2013 23:32

It's a bit bizarre, like they tried to be normal 95% of the time but then the artistic urge just overcame them and then they had to splurge all over the walls!

PS where is the spooky thread please?

UnrequitedSkink · 30/05/2013 23:34

The Holland Park one is a bit freaky...£2,200 per WEEK?!

QuintessentialOldDear · 30/05/2013 23:34

I imagine this AIBU "Aibu to ask landlords if I can paint the loft?"

Or in Property "My new tenants are demanding I repaint the loft, but the wall paper is Designers Guild and was put in by Asterix himself"

SoftlySoftly · 30/05/2013 23:35

More importantly look at that tiny kitchen compared to the massive rooms.

MaggieMaggieMaggieMcGill · 30/05/2013 23:38

I think the first house is almost definitely owned by Americans.

MaggieMaggieMaggieMcGill · 30/05/2013 23:41

That wall paper in that loft is really something else!. Why would anyone think that was a good way to decorate?

ChasingDogs · 30/05/2013 23:43

It's a clash between Game of Thrones and The Illiad. I rather like it. Not on an aesthetic level, so much, but I would enjoy wandering around the place and occasionally thinking "just what the utter fuck is happening" after a bottle or two of wine.

It would be months of fun before I eventually got off my lazy arse and considered how I personally wanted the place decorated.

(To be very fair though, I am skint beyond words. If my bank statement is anything to go by I have about a month before I'm living between my car and an industrial lock up unit again. I'm not really in the mood to be picky! Grin )

lottiegarbanzo · 30/05/2013 23:46

They must have had some big damp patches to paint over, with those murals!

LynetteScavo · 31/05/2013 00:12

red walls in every room.

Fakebook · 31/05/2013 00:18

I like how in picture 17 the person looks like they're squatting over the toilet. I'd be tempted to draw a brown poo coming out of the buttock.

theroseofwait · 31/05/2013 00:26

The house in Walkington was part of a, well complex is the only word I can think of, that had a cafe, B and B, mini spa etc. and I think that accounts for the artwork. I walked past it only this afternoon! The owner also has a dress shop locally and thinks she has the most excellent taste. . .

Monty27 · 31/05/2013 00:30

Oh, I got scared even looking at the photos. I don't think I could stay there overnight.

theroseofwait · 31/05/2013 00:39

Yep, thinks was the operative wordSmile

ThatVikRinA22 · 31/05/2013 00:47

oooooo walkington.....nice. not a million miles from me....id live there if someone bought it for me!

minouminou · 31/05/2013 00:55

The Walkington house looks like the set of a rubbish Dennis Wheatley or late Hammer Horror film.

iseenodust · 31/05/2013 14:31

The wallpaper loft is a sugar rush to the eyes.
