To ask how you best utilise your Clubcard points?

I'm quite new to the Tesco Clubcard points system and have just received my third statement which has £10 worth of vouchers.

Of the last 2 statements, one we put directly to that week's shop and the other was near Christmas so we did the exchange and bought toys for DC.

Neither coupon had got to more than £10 though. Looking through the leaflet I can see you can use points for all kinds of restaurants, days out etc. How do you use your points? Do you think it's best to save them all up till you've collected enough for something significant?

We usually save them up for the voucher exchange or days out.

Don't worry about losing the paper ones you are sent with your statement - you will have a full history of vouchers on your account online.

We have used them for trips to Alton Towers, Blackpool, Longleat, London Eye, Madame Tussards, and probably loads more as well as using them with the voucher exchange for buying a laptop.

Two years ago we had £150 worth and swapped them for siblu vouchers worth £600 and went to Brittany for 10 days. We saved them for two years to get enough.

Madameg, so do the vouchers not run out then?
Can I just save them.up even though the points have come off my clubcard?

Saved mine up for 2 years and bought an ipad sadly not for me

We use them for hotels and days out. Have just got merlin passes for us all so that a years worth of days out sorted. They do expire but usually have a good year or two on them.

Magazine subscriptions
Ferry tickets
Cineworld vouchers

I think they are good for 2 years. We've just bought 5 adult passes to Drayton Manor so we can take the DCs on a big family day out.

The rest we put on Air Miles.

They last for 2 years. If you use them for days out etc. then you can cash them in for 4 times their face value. We have a Tesco credit card which we only use for food and fuel( from Tesco) and which we pay off each month but you collect triple points on anything you buy in Tesco. We also have a Tesco mobile phone for DSD and we get triple points each month on bill payments. It soon adds up. This quarter we got £75 in vouchers which is £300 in rewards - enough for a minibreak for and and DH.

I like using mine for Pizza Express. £10 of tesco vouchers converts to £40 of Pizza Express vouchers. Tasty in mouth

Paid £90 off a £120 ferry fare to the Isle of Wight with £30 of vouchers. crossing the Solent is daylight robbery Any more I get in August can be used as cash or exchanged at some attractions there.

Well I only got £6.50 this time, but me and the daughter went and bought the Les Miserables video with it on Saturday.

Sometimes I double up the points,sometimes I save. I depends what I need!

Save them for Christmas! Last year I got my turkey, lots of frozen buffet style stuff and quite a lot of toys for dd

We save them up. We have a Tesco credit card and put all our monthly spending on it and pay it straight off just for the points too.

We have also had a Siblu holiday. We have had a laptop, a bed for DD1 and a vacuum cleaner using the voucher exchange.

We have a short break booked this year in a Village hotel, and got some Legoland tickets for SIL and BIL so they can come with us when we go (we have Merlin passes).

I convert all mine into BA air miles. One day I'll have enough for an upgrade

We use ours for restaurants, bowling or days out. They are worth much more that way.

I wait until Christmas then exchange them for Goldsmith vouchers. There usually only 3x but increase to 4x at the start of December. Then I treat myself. Will have about £1600 to spend this year if I stay on target.

Usually magazine subscriptions at Xmas, but we've had days out too.

We use them to go out for a family meal once in a while. It's lovely and means that we can have an indulgent treat without feeling guilty about cash.

have a credit card too so get loads. over the years have had, £1200 off holiday to st. Lucia (£300 in vouchers) free flights to Prague (airmiles), £100 off holiday cottage (£30 in vouchers), free train tickets, free rac, numerous days out (longleat, woburn, sealife, alton towers etc etc) & lots of pizza express vouchers.

Definitely save and swap for rewards.

When we were students (10years ago) myself and my hubby saved them up and they often meant we could afford to eat at the end of term when we ran out of money.

W have kept this habit up, and spend what we have at our wedding anniversary on a bottle of something nice to enjoy that we wouldn't normally have

This year we have spent some of them on days out. I wanted to take my ds to Thomas land, and it £36 real money for an adult or £8.50 in tesco vouchers atm. Total bargain!

We used to use them for Merlin passes ,but as the children aren't interested anymore we now save them and get something in the double up exchange . Last year we got a metal shed , it was reduced to £200 and I doubled £100 of vouchers ,so in effect a free shed !

I have just bought ds a railcard and have lots of Pizza Express vouchers for some spontaneous treats.

Here, we:

1. await voucher exchange with quivering anticipation
2. exchange for Pizza Express or do Christmas shopping for children.

I save them up until November, then exchange for double points for the toy department.
That's the Santa presents sorted. :)
