For instance:
A) Are George and Richard Rabbit G&T? They've just set up Dinosaur World in George and Peppa's bedroom, with an upturned laundry basket as a volcano, a forest of toy trees and a river made of blue building blocks. They're not like any 18 month old I've ever seen!

B) Do you have no choice but to marry the only available instance of the other gender of your species in existence? How did Mrs Rabbit and Miss Rabbit decide who got to marry Mr Rabbit?

C) Why did Daddy and Mummy Pig call George George when it so definitely doesn't start with P? Did she not get shot down on a Baby Names thread for that one?

i also wonder why all the others are already doing activities before Peppa and George arrive, everyone was in the ballet class.Confused.And even my dgd realises that Peppa is very rude sometimes. and do they all let mummy pig know in advance that they are all going to descend on her house to play whenever they feel like it.i really do watch too much Peppa Grin

Badgerwife · 24/04/2013 13:44

NotaQueef I think you're right that George is a selective mute. Apparently he gets a bit shy in front of the cameras.

atomicyoghurt · 24/04/2013 14:24

There's an episode all about Miss Rabbit and why she has so many jobs! She and Mrs Rabbit do a job swap for the day? no-one else seen this?

OhHullitsOnlyMeYoni · 24/04/2013 14:27

Why is George not Peter or similar P name?
Why don't they draw their curtains at bed time?
Who did their decorating?

carrie74 · 24/04/2013 14:31

I love this thread Grin.

It's been a while now since we've watched PP (eldest is 7.5), and this thread is bringing back memories.

Lovecat · 24/04/2013 15:32

Brilliant thread. DD is now 8 so I don't get to see it too often unless I'm at home on my own and I miss it.

I was once discussing it with a bloke in work who's DD is the same age as mine (they were about 3 at the time) and saying how much I loved Miss Rabbit.

He looked confused for a minute and then said (with a furtive look) 'Oh, is she the one who's a bit.... common?' (this from a bloke who was extremely 'owsyerfather' Essex!) which made me laugh for an inordinately long time :o

I cannot believe I haven't seen Grampy Rabbit in space! Is it as good as B&H's picnic on the moon??

OhHullitsOnlyMeYoni · 24/04/2013 15:37

I NEED to get the Bing Bong song! It has been eradicated from all search engines on t'interweb as I imagine they are flogging it on a CD?
My fave episode is when Daddy Pig builds the new house for the Wolf family. Mr Wolf "My that is strong [brick]!" after huffing and puffing to check the foundations, , "What is YOUR house made of, Mr Pig?"
"Brick, so don't even think about it".

OhHullitsOnlyMeYoni · 24/04/2013 15:37

"Oh look, little piggies..."
hehehe.

MummytoKatie · 24/04/2013 15:55

The fact that they are all so laid back / entitled about childcare. I can't imagine sending dd on her bike to play at her friend's grandparents - let alone with 6 of her friends and her little brother.

Daddy Pig is an architect. If I remember correctly the equation given is just the quadratic one so everyone on here would have done it in about Year 10 so not that complicated!

LiegeAndLief · 24/04/2013 16:03

My favourite peppa quote is when they go to MrFox's shop and look at his antiques. Peppa asks what antiques are. Daddy Pig explains that they are things that are very old and expensive (or words to that effect). Mr Fox replies, "Usually, yes."

He also has trophy cups that are made of gold. "Not just gold, plastic gold."

YouDontWinFriendsWithSalad · 24/04/2013 16:10

My favourite quote is when they go to Brian Blessed's Dinosaur Park and one of the children looks at the dinosaur egg and says "is that real?" and Brian Blessed (is he a sheep? I forget) says "It's better than real - it's pretend!"

MinnieBar · 24/04/2013 16:11

We've just watched (DD2 and I) the firefighters episode. I looked very carefully at the bbq for clues as to what they were going to eat - all I could see on the table was pizza and salad Hmm

I'm quite keen to know what that equation was now, purely to see if I could solve it [saddo]

TheSilveryPussycat · 24/04/2013 16:22

I am 60, and for many years was a connaisseur (sp) of kid's TV.

Now I am going to have to see at least a couple of episodes of PP.

onelittlepiglet · 24/04/2013 16:24

Brian Blessed is Grampy Rabbit - he's brilliant!

I'd like to know what's going on between Miss Rabbit and Mr Bull - my DH and I are convinced there is some kind of odd inter-species affair happening there...

I love Dr Hamster the vet -and tiddles tortoise who likes climbing trees!

MinnieBar · 24/04/2013 16:24

Ok extra sad points for me because I looked up the equation....

It is:

x = -b ± [square root of] [triangle]
---
2a

[triangle] = b2 - 4ac (that's b squared, obviously)

Daddy Pig just writes 1 + 1 = 2 and then they all fall about laughing.

TheSilveryPussycat · 24/04/2013 16:29

assuming the 2a should be further over, that is the equation for solving quadratic equations, is it not?

Roomfor1more · 24/04/2013 16:31

The vet Miss Hamster, reminds me of the female(!) version of Keith Lemon! My favorite episode is when Peppa can't whistle and she rings Suzy Sheep, when Suzy whistles down the phone at Peppa and she hangs up, I laugh every time I see and believe me I've seen it loads of times now................

Flisspaps · 24/04/2013 16:34

Room I hate that episode. I can't whistle. DH thinks it's hilarious.

Roomfor1more · 24/04/2013 16:39

Its the face on her as she hangs up!! I can't whistle either lol

Pedro Pony reminds me of my ds1 little pal from school, glasses the whole lot. He's a gorgeous little guy and so polite. He was here a few weeks ago and my dh asked him to say 'Cut the tree down' y'know when Tiddles goes up the tree, anyways he said it and holy moly he sounded just like Pedro, I had to walk out of the kitchen with the laughing

MummytoKatie · 24/04/2013 16:42

Definitely the quadratic one. I now want to know exactly what daddy pig is using it for!

PanpiperAtTheGatesOfYawn · 24/04/2013 16:43

I think Miss Rabbit is being exploited because she doesn't have children.

Like Liz Jones says, it's all the SINGLE women and MEN who do all the work, while married women skive off and have children so they can take a year-long holiday.

PS if you don't know who Liz Jones is, this post will make no sense.

PanpiperAtTheGatesOfYawn · 24/04/2013 16:45

PS my favourite episode is where Edward Elephant (aged, what? 2? 3?) tells Mr Potato of Potato World that all the ride-on dinosaurs are completely anachronistic and in the wrong era.

Now THAT'S G&T.

OrangeFootedScrubfowl · 24/04/2013 16:55

Someone mentioned it - Ben from B&H is one of Cousin Chloe's friends. (He likes Blues music or greens music.)

florilegia · 24/04/2013 17:04

My car is actually named after Edmond Elephant! Car has one of those smug digital displays which is always telling you to change gear, put your seatbelt on, check you've locked the doors etc. When I'm feeling frustrated with it, I remark, "Edmond knows a lot about driving. He is a clever-clogs". DS thinks it's funny, at least...

YoureMyOrangeGoldWifeNowDave · 24/04/2013 17:08
