I've just seen an advert for Coke Zero where they trick people into thinking they're drinking Fat Coke.

I woudl go MENTAL. I hate artificial sweeteners but do quite like the occasional coke, especially at the cinema.

What on earth made them think this ad was a good idea?

Basically, it's in a cinema, the bloke from the sweet kiosk appears on the cinema screen and tells the audience that they woudl love Coke Zero, in fact they wouldn't tell the difference from Coke. And then reveals that he gave them all Coke Zero secretly.

I mean WHAT? That's not how you build trust in a brand.

I think I might boycott. Erm. or something.

don't drink much fizzy drinks but it has to be the real think (preferably from the glass bottle) with ice and lemon (while I hum 'I'd like to teach the world to sing...')- accept no substitutes!

actually i didnt think it was that bad much nicer than pepsi max [which is way to sweet in my opinion] the hospital i work in promotes healthy eating[wether you want to eat health or not!]to such an extent you cant get the full fat version of any fizzy drink

My DP has a rant every time this ad comes on, something like ' I'd be demanding my money back, making me drink that shit under false pretences. I'd have noticed though, stupid people. Anyway, they should get trading standards involved'. Every. Fricking. Time.

If it happened it real life I'd be livid and throw my fake coke at the screen.

However, it's not real. You tell tell because they're all beautiful with white teeth, that's not been my experience of cinemas.

Just seen the advert for first time dd1 (19) here too and her response was "yeah right do that and i'll sue for mis-selling besides its even worse for you than regular"

We love the fat coke but its a rare treat so don't worry about the sugar. YANBU
